Very big rooms, really clean and extremely nice staff.
Restaurant Tip: DMZ bar right accross the road. good cocktails and they also have a travel agents!!

Great location, friendly staff but breakfast so-so

fantastic location right on the main drag downtown (le loi street). upon first glance the hotel looks a bit aged (white paint not so white any more) but once inside it's nice enough. really helpful staff and a nice swimming pool (though a bit small). rooms are nice enough, beds a bit firm but spacious. breakfast was a bit mediocre with mostly vietnamese food (and not the good kind) which tended to run out early. overall, good value for money but not exactly a four-star hotel. more like three star.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: recommended not to take the tomb tour offered by the hotel. it's outsourced to a ridiculous local tour company. dreadful tour. best to shop around to a different tour company. having said that, the tombs and other attractions are great! just a bad experience with the tour the hotel organized.

Not exactly four star but nice enough

although the hotel could use a bit of tlc and the breakfast was lacking, overall it is a decent stay with a fantastic location. the swimming pool is a bit small but quite nice and usually empty! riverview rooms have a fantastic view (especially on floors 3 and up) and are worth the extra cost. the "gardenview" rooms should be called "parkinglotview", though they are quiet.

The hotel staff were quite pushy, trying to push tours on us. We did book one which turned out not too bad but I think she may have ripped us off on the entrance to the tombs. Hotel was old and dated and in need of a facelift. Breakfast was average and we had to ask for the western food and sometimes it took so long to wait we left before it was ready. In saying all that we did pay a very cheap rate.

we booked this hotel on a speical so really for what we paid it was good value for money. can't say we'd reccomend it at full price though. we were told we had adjoining rooms only find that one room was in one wing and the other room in another wing. they did fix this up though and we ended up with rooms next door. the hotel would have been grand in it's day but is a little run down and in need of a facelift. the staff were quite pushy with tours, although we did book a private tour of the citadel which turned out to be good. the breakfast consisted of asian and western foods however you always had to ask for the western food and they didn't always have it. our suggestion if you can get a 50% special then go for it but don't expect too much.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Make sure you visit the Citadel and the tombs. Pay for your own entry and don't let the guide pay for you if you have one. I think we may have been diddled on the entry prices. Take a dragon boat up the Perfume river.

Musty smelly room, outdated decor, hard bed & 3 strands of water in the shower. For bucks a night we could have expected that!! Defiantly not 4 star. Needs a massive refurb! Location is the only thing going for this hotel.

Large hotel in great location

Close to many sights and restaurants

Staff were very friendly and also very helpful in arranging tours and booking our transportation to Hoi An. The hotel is located across the street from a lot of popular restaurants and is also on the river beside the boat dock where you can take a boat tour on the Perfume River.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Be sure to take a tour of the tombs for a look at the different styles used by various kings.

We did only stay one night I booked a last minute special offer on agoda. we did not eat at the hotel restaurant since it is quite expensive and a few tourist buses had just arrived. the room was clean and had all necessary amenities. nice pool area. overlooking the perfume river from the balcony was great! Staff was friendly. all in all ok, but I would not pay the regular price.

This large hotel is conveniently situated on the banks of the Perfume River. The room was relatively spacious and quiet, and had a small balcony overlooking the river. The decor and bathroom was a little dated, but clean. Armchairs, a desk, and safe were also in the room. The outdoor pool overlooking the river was a lovely spot, with sun loungers and palm trees. The breakfast buffet was extensive.
Restaurant Tip: For a cup of tea and a snack, we recommend Healing the Wounded Heart, and La Boulangerie Francaise - both small cafes that provide training and assistance for local young people.
