Great hotel great value for money

We had a wonderful stay. Staff showed us two rooms, the room we took had a balcony and was directly across from the pool. Staff could not do enough for us. Rang our lady who booked our travel in Saigon to check for us. Breakfasts brilliant start to the day. Loved it would highly recommend to any one.

Gold Hotel was an enjoyable experience for us. Travelling in Vietnam can be stressful and tiring sometimes being constantly being accosted by tourist trouts we were glad to be able to come back to the hotel and unwind and relax in a comfortable environment.

We had a great stay at Gold Hotel. It's a great location to walk around town. Great buffet breakfast. Fantastic staff - my husband left his camera outside our room by mistake and the doorboy found it and handed it in to the reception. The pool was pretty small and didn't look too clean.

Definitely a cut above the rest of 3.5 star hotels
Generously spacious rooms, large and comfortable beds and clean with facilities worthy of 4 stars

I am most impressed by the quality of the service received at this hotel. Its staff is conversant in English and very helpful and friendly. They are also very professional. As for the facilities, I did not expect to see a swimming pool. It's a pleasant surprise.I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to any one.

Wonderful Hotel, perfect in every way

this is a fantastic hotel that we could not fault at all. we were on the 7th floor and had a huge double room with two double beds. we had plenty of wardrobe space, and space to walk around, a wonderful balcony that looked over the city. everything was clean, towels got changed daily and room made up.
breakfast was a mixture of buffet and eggs 'cooked to order'. the selections are huge, from authentic vietnamese foods to western cereals. plenty of fresh fruits and juices, as well as tea and coffee.
the hotel is ideally situated right in the centre of the old quarter; it is easy to walk to all the sights.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
there is a great park near the river with seats where you can sit and watch the dragon boats go up and down the river.
city tour - beware of extra costs of entrance fees which can cost as much as the trip again. foreigners pay a premium at all historic sights it would seem......
