Very helpful staff and quaint hotel

The hotel is good for the low price you pay. Sure it needs some TLC, (a drip here and there and a cupboard that wouldn't close) but any maintenance issues are quickly fixed by the staff. We stayed in a triple room as we had our 1 and 2 year old with us and it had a queen and a single in the room which was adequate for us. They organised a car for us from Hue to Hoi An for $60US with a driver that spoke good English and stopped whenever we wanted for photographs or a break.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Make sure if you get a taxi to the citadel you only use metered taxis or you will get ripped off. It should only cost around $35,000VND from this hotel location.

Very nice hotel and excellent service

This has been the most pleasant hotel during our 2 months trip.
The hotel is nice and clean. The staff is unbeleivable and even though they offer tour you are never pressured to buy from them

we were impressed as soon as we arrived got a drink and something to eat. this was replicated with all guests even if they arrived at 8.30 in the morning were offered breakfast before even checking in. during our time was raining but provided umbrellas.
room small but adequate.
hotel down an alley but provided quiet.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Pagoda and citadel tour - need a guide otherwise you do not get to know the history and stories

the location is a bit far from the citadel, and the small lane the hotel is located in seems somewhat sketchy at first, but overall we had a great stay at this hotel. they were able to organize excursions for us and the staff loved to sit down and have a chat with guests, which is always a nice feeling. the breakfast of banana pancakes or omelettes was a nice surprise given the low price. this is a great option for budget travellers!

This hotel is located outside of city center but it is not far, you can go to city center in 5 to 10 minutes by walk. Also the staffs are very kind and the room is clean.

Whilst the hotel is good value, it suffers the same problem that many hotels in Viet Nam and that is the need to open the windows and let some fresh air in.
Restaurant Tip:
Go to DMZ just round the corner. If the bar is too noisy for you then eat upstairs.

the hue holiday hotel is a small but nice location. the stuff was always really nice and helped us to order activities, bus trip and other things. breakfast was nothing special but nice and enough. the location is a little bit away from the city center, but in hue is everything walkable. furthermore we got breakfast on the first day, as we just arrived from the night bus, nice service.

although we didn't really like the city of hue, the hotel was good value for the price we paid. the staff were very friendly and helped us with tours and taxi's. the breakfast wasn't very good so i'd recommend not bothering to pay for it. the rooms were fine except our fridge and heater didn't work.
