The staff were very caring with a service mind. We were traveling with elders and children, they were very patience because our group took a lot of time to check in and out, and before we checked out the next morning, they even provided us with a bottle of water each. The rooms were in great condition and the hotel was in a good location, not far from the river with only less than 5 minutes walk. They even have a computer in the room! The hotel also provided a selection of DVDs. A great hotel even only 3 stars!

My husband and I stayed at the Orchid Hotel for 2 nights and absolutely LOVED it. We hadn't booked any accommodation in Hue, so desperately just booked something in the general area of where we wanted to stay.
The room was fairly small and very dark as the windows were blocked by a brick wall, but we weren't in Hue to hang out and sit in our room, so it didn't really matter. There was free wifi which worked fine in our room using our ipad and the room also had its own computer which worked great as well.
The hotel is in a great, central location, lots of restaurants, clothes and souvenir shops, tour companies and massage places around. As soon as you step out of the hotel you're surrounded by it all and its only a short walk (200m) to the main road which follows the river. Surprisingly the room was very quiet considering how busy the streets are surrounding the hotel.
Breakfast was fine, a lot of choices and plenty of it. The dining room is small and a bit tight to get around, but hey, its a small hotel and space is a permium.
The staff were absolutely fantastic, all of them!! Front reception and the doormen were GREAT! So friendly and helpful, they really made you feel genuinely welcome and wanted. Even the girls serving breakfast were friendly and chatty. The front reception ladies and doormen organized onward train tickets for us as well as cyclo riders for a city tour and a moped with rider to the tombs. I had enquired about tours to the tombs from various other tour organizers and the hotel organized it for less than half the price quoted by others. They made it all just so easy and enjoyable, no stress with organizing tours and things and prices were great. .
We had our laundry done here and for a huge bag of clothes (basically everything we brought with us) it only cost about US$5. We gave our clothes at 7am and got them back at 9pm.

The staff were fantastic. There were great little touches, like the welcome drink, and artistically rolled towels and snacks in our room. They provided towels & let us shower in the small bathroom on the main floor before leaving for the airport.

This is the hotel to choose in Hue if your budget is not high ,the aset of this hotel is their highly performance staff , especially the receptionist being so helpful , arrange everything for us and even take care of my mother when we were away joining the paradise cave tour, just a thank you is not enough to express how greatful I was to you.
