barely english from front desk but overall enough for a simple stay of one or two nights; htel little noisy from street at night because traffic and ferry boat traffic in front of hotel; cafe/nightclub same street ; overall pleasant to discover the city

My wife and I went there with our 2.5 year old and our inlaws. It is a typical no star Vietnam hotel.
The staff was friendly but that's because most Vietnamese people are typically very nice.
But the room was moldy. When we arrived we had to keep the door and windows open for a few minutes to get rid of the smell.
There was a lot of traffic noise which woke us up early in the morning.
And last but not least, we killed a couple of roaches that night.

We were welcomed by a horrible smell of cigarette smoke and humidity. The room must not have been opened for a very long time because there was mold on the walls.
Back in the room, after visiting the town, we had to kill two cockroaches in our room.
I think there must have been only 1-2 hours when there was no noise from our window. We had motorbikes, boats or roosters trying to wake us up all night long.
