Run-down hotel with unfriendly staff

This hotel is run-down, has a funny smell in the rooms and many things like lamps and doors are not working.
When we arrived the managed wanted us to go to another hotel, becaus they had no rooms left. Actually they had rooms, but first she wanted us to get a room without window, so we had quite an argument to get the two decent rooms we had paid for.
Breakfast was included and is the get in restaurant opposite the hotel. This restaurant is ok, but you are only allowed to spend 5 USD for breakfast, which is enough for a cup of coffee and an omelette, but not even a glass of juice.
The staff is generally unfriendly and when we were checking out, they accused us of stealing two of their (old, thin) towels. This caused a lot of trouble when cheking out as we had a train to catch and did not want to pay for two towels that we had not taken.
OK, the hotel is cheap, but we have stayed at much cheaper hotels in Vietnam with clearly better service and facilities.
In conclusion - don't use this hotel, there a plenty of others in Nha Trang and they must be better
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Vinpearl Island is actually great fun for a day with a great water park with mainly vietnamese visitors.

Convenient location, clean and good value for £

we booked at the last minute for a one night stay and were placed at the front of the hotel looking onto the street. there was a bit of noise up until 10/11pm but then quietened down and had one of the best nights sleep i had had in a few weeks. receptionist was very nice, very helpful and agreed to refund the difference as the room we booked on agoda was not available.
Hotel Feature Tip:
As for a room away from the front of the hotel to minimise the noise from scooters

cheap and friendly service

The hotel is in a good location, near the beach and in between the main restaurants/massage parlours.
However, it seems like it hasn't been updated in years, there is a funny smell, and the rooms aren't the cleanest. We only stayed here for overnight but you can do better a few doors down
