Great place to stay, we were for one week and felt spoilt with thoughtful service. Well appointed rooms that were a good size, direct access to the beach.
The water pressure in the shower is weak.

We stayed at Ana Mandara for only one night but we wished we could've stayed a little longer. The hotel itself was remarkable and it makes you feel like you're staying an exotic place. At fist you entered, the staff greeted you and lead you to sit down right away to rest instead of standing up and checking in. The staff checked you in while you sip on lemonade and passion fruit sorbet. The staff in the hotel were all very nice and helpful. We did 50 minute Vietnamese massage and it was excellent! The pool of the hotel has a spectalcur view of the ocean. Ana mandara has it own private beach so it is not crowed it at all. Also this hotel is conviently close to town.

the room was spacious, the bath room was huge...staff was very polite and helpfull. The food was very very expensie, but good flavour.
the swimming pool is very beautiful, and heated ( i think) cos the water was always warm, eventhough we had really late swim.
The beach was nice, but not so clean, so better stick to the pool then swimming in the ocean, which is a shame really.

Nice beach front but disappointed with resort

This was one of the most expensive hotels we stayed at during our 2 weeks visit to Vietnam and lucky it was only for 2 nights. We were disappointed. The resort is 14 years old and the rooms require an urgent upgrade. We had a beach front deluxe (which is always our preferred room in any resort) and it still maintained a late 1980's, early 1990's feel. I think Evason really need to go out and see what other resorts of similair level are doing because it was not up to a 5 star standard. For example....too close to city and noisy, the 'private' beach was not so private once the late afternoon comes along as the locals start drifting onto the beach and at one stage, used out beach umbrella nut and deck chairs to eat their dinner, no amenitites provided....they just filled large containers of shampoo/conditioner and shower gel each day, the bathtub is very dangerous to step into as it is sunk into the ground. This is one resort we will not be returning to or recommending to friends. Please Evason.....it's 2012, keep up.
