good place to stay across the street from nt beach

this was the 3rd time i've made a 4-night stay at yasaka. rooms are clean and spacious. i've always had a decent view of the coast. (due to a new building on the south side, i'd say the north side of the hotel has better views now.) lots of services right in the hotel- for example, i bought a ticket for vinpearl land and a voucher for my airport taxi right in the lobby. check-in/out is fairly efficient, though some of the front desk workers speak minimal english. (at one point, my request for the hotel's business card threw them into confusion.) breakfast buffet is pretty standard though it has great views. (suggestion, take your tray to the balcony and dine al fresco!) laundry comes back same day. room cleaning staff seemed to speak decent english and always left lots of towels and replenished soaps. the sole fish restaurant in the garden recently changed their menu (summer 2011) and i don't think it's as extensive (or as good) as in the past, but it's still a decent restaurant in very soothing surroundings, right downstairs. when you want to visit the beach, the hotel has some lounge chairs and umbrellas right across the street with and attendant, which is convenient. this hotel attracts lots of russians and a number of the staff speak russian.
Shopping Tip:
New Nha Trang Center mall is right next door. Luxury shops, large supermarket, arcade games and food court.

Great hotel everybody know who you are!

great hotel not for the price asking for, friendly staff, know where and what you like about the area, great massage spa. buffet is great but breakfast staff very quiet they dont talk to you. the gym isnt worth it only couple of equipment very very small and the pool on the 2nd floor isnt great but what do you know there the beach across the street.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
offer great tour package wont try to scam you but they will try to sell you the tour package. beware of taxi cheating you on joy ride know what you are doing and where you want to go in nha trang.

Nice Resort Hotel
Very convenient to go to the sea side

Hotel is very noisy with local guests coming for holidays. Hotel lobby is always packed with local people which is causing soem nuisances on the noise and kids. The whole lobby is full of Durian's smell and very unpleasant.
Massage service in the hotel room is a big headache when the massuer asked for 200,000 VND for the massage services. Very un-professional.

not advisable for business traveller. good for those who don't mind the noise and the crowded lobby at all time. breakfast is not attractive as they serve same food from saturday to wendesday, should be some changes..

After reading the reviews we thought this place would be perfect however the rooms were disgusting, dirty sheets, mouldy bathrooms, needs to be updated. We were booked for 4 nights and only could stay the 1. Would not recommend.

the hotel is rated four stars which is a stretch. while the location was fine the hotel was old and need of repair. it seems they had a lot of ideas and energy at one time but it is not existent today.
room was clean and well air conditioned and service was good. i would return.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
take the tour to the islands and go snorkling, the inexpensive tour is fine.
restaurants(i am an american living in vietnam) louisianne and sailing club are of good quality and moderately price. no vat tax thank god.

Lovely staff but very average hotel

I was very unimpressed with this hotel. It was quite far away from the tourist hub of Nha Trang. The rooftop pool was small and very average. The big pool was over run by vegetation and looked liked it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The restaurant was terrible and we only ended up using our breakfast voucher once since it was so terrible. The rooms were large. It looks like nothing has been upgraded to the hotel since it was opened in the late 90's. The rooms were very noisy, you could hear people talking in the hallway outside all the time. It is located right across the street from the beach but not a nice bit of the beach and you are far away from any of the restaurants.
Nightlife Tip:
This hotel isn't located in the tourist area of Nha Trang although it's only a 20 minute walk away. If you want to be in the heart of it, stay closer to the tourist area.

Nice hotel with good service but needs updating

The hotel was quite full with local holiday makers with young children. We found it very noisy from 6am with kids running around outside our room yelling. We had problems with our bath and airconditioning on arrival. Staff were helpful with these problems and they were fixed quickly. The room was a good size and was pleasant. Breakfast was disappointing, while there was variety it just wasn't very nice, best dish was the chicken soup. The pool area was great with lots of places to sit. The beach was nice as well. The hotel is a little further from the main part of town but a taxi in the heat was only $1 or $1.50. Overall our stay was pleasant but not outstanding.
