Living bugs (brown cockroaches) in our room in 7th floor! Living cockroaches in serials bowl on the breakfast table. Overpriced.
Breakfast horrible - living bugs on the breakfast table, cooks with dirty jackets, warm dishes was not warm, cold dishes not fresh.
No cleaning of the beach - full of garbage, and locals (both children and grown ups) used the beach as their public toilet. Awful!

Roof-top breakfast with sea view, good sized room and reasonable facility for a 4-star but not new hotel. Sea views from all rooms as stated. Good choice for breakfast and entertainments. Beach front hotel.
Direct next to the huge construction site for a new Sheraton hotel. Rooms on the construction site are very noisy even with double glazing windows, especially at night as they work 24 hours a day on the construction site. Rooms on the other site can be very noisy specially during the day as they don't have double glazing windows. Very pricey if you want to eat in the 2 restaurants of the hotel. Quite far to walk to the city center of Nha Trang.
We arrived in Nha Trang on 11th November 2008 and spent 3 nights at Yasaka hotel - a 4 star hotel - In the first night, we could not sleep due to a loud noise. We made a complaint and, though it took time, we got a new room the next day. For me, I will not stay here -in room 606- again, because of the noise during the whole night and also because of the unreasonable service for guests in this hotel.

location, shopping near the hotel, breakfast buffet, the tours!!, the girl working at the at the tour desk
NOT a 4 star interior- the lobby was not a pretty sight, noone was outstandingly nice,
Our stay at Yakasaka was \"so-so\" I don't think it would have been as bad if it weren't advertised as a \"four star\" hotel, b/c it wasn't. I was expecting 4 stay standards, and got three. It was my honeymoon, and we wanted to stay at a really nice place, I wish we had stayed at sunrise. We went over there to check it out and it was sooo much nicer!! The lobby of Yasaka had the elegance and sophistication of an old gym sneaker. I was really dissapointed. Our room was just okay, and despite advertisments of \"HDTV\" we had fuzzy signal the whole time. The tours we went on were really, really awesome and fun, and the girl working the counter was very nice. She stood out amoung a bunch of employees who rarely smiled and were not friendly at all, sometimes even acting snobby. The breaksfast buffet was always very good, esp. the fruit. It was within walking distance of a lot of cool restraunts and shopping, ehich was nice. The pool was just okay. Over all, when we visit Nha Trang again, we won't be staying at the Yasaka, we'll be eithera at the new hotels going up, or at the sunrise! We stayed at a beauuttiiful place called White Sand Resort right before we got to the Yasaka, and our vacation went from 5 star service to just ordinary.
Travel tip : dont stay here if you can find somewhere else for the same amount. And check out this store called Aphrodite a few blocks away!! The Sailing Club is the best place in wotn for dinner

Rooms were larger than expected and well equipped.
Hotel had excellent location to the beach.
Everything was very good. No complaints
The hotel was very accomodating and well situated for using the beach. Excellent pool and restaraunt facilities and close to the market for shopping.
Shopping Tip : Shopping was close by in the market with fun to be had buying or just visiting.

Very happy with the stay, kids enjoyed the Garden Pool. Breakfasts were OK, but nothing special. Great location, helpful staff.
Travel tip : Take a trip to Vinpearl if you have children.

I have travelled to NT many times over the years. The Yasaka should appeal to families with young children. A second large swimming pool has also been completed amongst a peaceful garden area at ground level, complementing the main pool on the second level. The beach is also very accessible and was popular with our young son (7).
Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel has both an upmarket spa (Y Spa), and a beauty shop where massages at both are excellent and also very reasonable. I highly recommend both.

Overall a nice hotel with friendly staff in a convenient location near the beach. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to others, although it is better to eat out somewhere else.

We loved the Yasaka. The staff were friendly & could speak English. Our room was big & clean, the breakfast was good. We liked the idea of 1 housekeeper per floor & would definately stay here again.

Ask for a room on the Yersin Street side of the hotel (the non-construction side). The metered taxis are very inexpensive and can be booked by the hour for sightseeing - just remember to negotiate an hourly rate.
Restaurant Tip : Try the Coco Vert (Dua Xanh) Restaurant at 189 Nguyen Binh Khiem (10 minute walk, turn left just before the bridge).

We saw on the Internet that there was a tropicll cyclone approaching with Nha Trang at the epicenter. We double-checked with our consulate who advised us to evacuate and to ask the hotel to consult emergency services. At the front desk they were not too bothered and said the storm was not due to hit for three days. However the travel desk was brilliant in finding us flights to Saigon despite everything being booked up.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you have children then don't miss Vin Pearl. You catch the cable car at the far end of Nha Trang beach and there is a fabulous, large water park with heaps of slides, wave pool, etc, a small number of amusement rides and a large indoor amusement area (arcade games) and it is virtually deserted. It is worth buying one of the multi-passes which for about $15USD gives you access to everything. The multi-pass gives you the chance to ride each attraction once including a 4D movie and single entry to the arcade games but you could then play these for as long as you wanted for no extra charge (all other places that I have ever visited charge you separately for the arcade games such as snowboarding, car racing, horse racing, boxing, etc). Our family had a ball.
