A budget price hotel with great service

Made welcome from the moment waled through the door. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, the facilities all worked, most of the time and any problems were fixed very quickly, even late at night when the AC developed a problem. Any problems with the facilities can be blamed on the local electricity supply.
Breakfasts were good.
Location within easy walking distance of town centre and close to Bus Station.
Management organised excellent day tour of the local tourist sites.

I loved staying here. The owner is absolutely wonderful; she is accommodating, hospitable, helpful and a great cook. The guesthouse is located on a quiet side street and is like a home; comfy and personal. The rooms are spacious, very clean, the bedding is very comfortable, the staff speaks english well, and everyone that works there is family. It is a true "family-run" guesthouse and that in itself makes it a less commercial experience. I was only supposed to stay for 1-2 days and i ended up staying for 5 or 6. Everything i did was easily arranged by the staff, meals were cooked daily and they were huge portions and delicious! I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone. I think it is by far the best and most affordable in Ninh Binh. 100 % recommended!

We arrived very early in the morning by train and got a free pick up from the train station which was great. We were also able to check in straight away which was a bonus. Our room was nice and spacious, good value for money. The staff were very nice and helped us decide on what to do with our time in Ninh Binh. Unfortunately they didn't specify that we had to book our train tickets to Hanoi ahead of time even after I asked about the train 3 times so we got recommended the local bus to Hanoi instead. Please do not recommend these buses as they are hellish and over packed and drive way too fast. It was a super scary journey and I was so happy we arrived in one piece. Also when we got our laundry back it was still damp after 24 hours :-(

The most genuine friendly host in Vietnam

We arrived at 5am after a 12 hour hell bus ride .Kim welcomed us in , let us sleep a couple of hours and made us breakfast ,(we had booked for that night!)She arranged for her brother and nephew to drive us on their motorbikes to all of the sights , and I mean all of the sights ,down the backroads between the rice paddies , only a local can take you there .Put down your guide book and let Kim set your programme in Ninh Binh . I would highly recommend her guesthouse and her careful and knowledgable motorbike guides .It was the highlight of our time in Vietnam .
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to Tam Coc sure , but don't miss trang An for a cultural experience and more beautiful river.The caves are bigger and there are more of them .

Rooms were well designed and modern. they were also immaculate, with daily maid service. The breakfast provided was more than adequate and pleasant. The optional evening set meal was fantastic. Cooked by the owner. She was a very gracious, helpful host. the position of the guest house was excellent for accessing all the main sites. The guest house also arranged 2 days motorbike hire for us at a good price and gave us maps and info. Highly recommended.
