Pandanus Hotel, Phan Thiet

We loved this place. Their resort is quite expansive with beautiful, lush tropical grounds to see and enjoy. The pool is very large and beautiful, very inviting to relax by and swim in. Our room was a standard room but was quite lovely. Tile floors, large balcony, good bathroom. This resort was a great place to enjoy the warm Vietnam sunshine. One thing I would like to see improved would be the restaurant menu. All their restaurants had the same menu and would have like to have seen a different menu offered at the different locations. Even though the resort is on the far end of Mui Ne, Pandanus has a shuttle bus system that worked perfectly for us. We actually thought that helped give you a stronger sense of relaxation being out of the busier area. The Pandanus staff were helpful and friendly. We had a medical problem and no sooner had we mentioned it, they had a nurse come and take care of us at no charge. A great service. We loved walking along the beach. The resort shares it with the local people. So there is much to see and learn as you experience a different culture from your own.

We took a private taxi from HCMC/Saigon and arrived after a long 5 hour drive. But when you enter the Hotel grounds we forgot all about this! Excellent location with pleasant staff.We got just what we expected from the web-site.The only negative remark is the spa, they have a language problem and pour management. We spoke in the evening with 2 English trainees about this, and they had the same remarks But overall very good!

I had read many reviews before we arrived and was a little wary of what to expect. We got to Mui Ne and the cab driver just kept going, and going and we were passing the town. Eventually we got to the hotel, which gave a very good and reassuring first impression. Check-in was seemless and we were in our room within five mins. The room was very large and clean with king bed, mini-bar, large wardrobe, balcony with loungers and large bathroom with walk-in shower. The shower was great! This resort is very quiet and we were staying for 10 days! I wouldn't stay here again for that length of time, but that's because we prefer a bit more to do. The hotel does a shuttle bus into the town but this only has 11 seats so always best to book a day before. Don't be fooled by thinking that the last shuttle back to the resort at 9.50 is too early - the town closes down really at 10pm so is an ideal time to leave. I had a manicure in the spa, which was very well done and cheap. The food in the restaurant is not the greatest, but do not miss breakfast - it is great! Fruit, cheese, ham, breads, croissants, hot food, Vietmanese food. I could not fault this selection, even having it for 10 days on the trot. The General Manager does an hour of cheese and wine every evening, which we took full advantage of!! We did think that the food and drink were over priced, considering we were in Vietnam and were all in US$ which pushed them up. You can charge your purchases to your room or pay at the time. You also get two bottles of complimentary mineral water everyday. The resort can't really be faulted but we wouldn't stay again. However, would definitely recommend this hotel to those that wish to leave the world behind for a couple of weeks. Lovely resort, great staff that always have a smile and a greeting, very clean and spacious rooms, very large pool and loungers by the sea.
