Pandanus Hotel, Phan Thiet

location is too far from the main stretch. hotel structure & grounds lovely for the price.

As a mature couple wanting a quiet and restful holiday we found Pandanus Resort to be almost perfect. It is right on the seaside with beautifully clean water and sand and a large lagoon style outdoor pool (with towels supplied and drinks and snacks available throught the day). There are several types of accommodation available - we stayed in a Bungalow facing the sea which we found large, very comfortable and quiet. Without being ostentatious, the room was furnished with a very large bed and two comfortable lounge chairs suitable for this type of resort. Walk in shower was also good for us in a simple well equipped bathroom. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and promptly responded to a request for chairs to replace lounges on our terrace which we found more comfortable due to our age. They have recently employed the services of an Indian born chef with international qualifications who has greatly improved the standard of the restaurant. We found the food to be varied and of a high standard. The BBQ buffets usually held around the pool are excellent with a large variety of seafood, meat, salads and desserts. The Resort does have daytime activities such as beach volley ball, tennis, table tennis, a gym. Organized activities also were available. There is an outdoor massage as well as full beauty treatments and massage in a nicely located section of the main building. Tours can be arranged although not very much available as sightseeing in the area is limited. There is evening entertainment provided in both the restaurant and bar every day as well as Karoake rooms. The resort is about 15 minutes from the main strip of Mue Ne which is probably a disadvantage although the Resort does provide a small courtesy shuttle to the nearby Mui Ne Fishing Village and restaurants near the centre of the town. For those wanting a relaxing, quiet holiday and not interested in shopping or touring or hectic night life then I would highly recommend the Pandanus Resort.

I have spent alot of time in Mui Ne and wanted to try a different hotel/resort. The Pandanus is a fairly big resort with a gigantic pool. The biggest negative of the resort is its location. Its in the middle of nowhere. If you like lounging at a resort only, this place is for you. It cost around 80,000 dong to get to the part of Mui Ne where the other resorts are as well as places to eat. The food is not that good considering the price. One positive about the food is that during the breakfast buffet, they made a point of keeping the food hot. I probably would stay here again because of it location.
