The resort is on a nice stretch of private beach and is well laid out with great rooms that look onto the ocean. The rooms have large private decks with whirlpool tubs which is a nice feature. The resort is very seculede though, it is a least 15-20 minute drive on dirt roads to get to a restaurant outside.

Superb stay, the acommodation was sensational, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The pool was beautiful, the gardens immaculate. The only downfall was the food. It was ridiculously expensive, certainly as expensive, if not moreso than at home in Australia and had a very limited selection of Vietnamese cuisine.Due to a lack of alternative options elsewhere within close proximity of the resort we were forced to eat at their only restaurant.

Great hotel, great staff, fantastic massage. On the beach, lovely pool, decent breakfast. Relaxing and chilled out. Only one negative thing, the beach is very prone to rubbish washing up on it, the water gets polluted with the same trash, hotel needs to clear the beach and the water on a regular basis. Hotel needs to remove accumulated trash bags at same time as collecting the rubbish. So much rubbish at times in the ocean, you don't want to go in.

Beautiful place to stay for couples, very clean and quiet private beach, very different than anywhere else in Vietnam.
Only point we were not impressed by was the food at the restaurant. Do not hesitate to go down to town to eat fresh local food, we didn't regret the trip.

We loved our bungalow and it was a good size for our family. There is a bedroom upstairs and one downstairs plus a private pool. The resort pool is saltwater, which we liked. The food at the restaurant is pretty good but expensive and because the resort is isolated there are not other options without taking a long cab ride into town. The resort has boats, including a Hobie Cat that guests can take out. The ocean in front of the resort is very calm. There is not good snorkeling nearby. Bring your own sand toys if you have small kids.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Free use of sailboats and kayaks. Good massage at the spa.

i found chen sea resort & spa hotel is a very good hotel in phu quoc island. all my family members and myself had a great time there during cny. since we have communication problem with the taxi driver, few hotel staffs helped us a lot in between. we feel so appreciated. however, we found there was not many other places we can visit out of hotel, just enjoyed the nice seafoods in night market. better than nothing. i will recommened friends/relatives to visit chen sea if they are going to phu quoc. thanks.
Hotel Feature Tip:
suggest hotel to provide free hotel shuttle bus for travelling in between hotel and market (at least 2 schedules for morning and afternoon).

Excellent Resort

The best resort/hotel I stayed in during my 3 weeks in VN. The resort is only 2 years old and very well done. My room (Jacuzzi Suite) was exceptionally large and well appointed with everything you could need. The staff were very good and the place seemed to be very well run. The food we had was very good and there is the option of a couple of small restaurants further along the beach which were also very good. I'd recommend this resort to anyone looking to get away from it all in luxury.
