Good location- close to Duong Duong town & main street Nice Beach Breakfast restaurant with a view of the beach

Room with no view (Just Trees)-for standard rooms Old Pool Lots & lots of mosquitos Tab water smells & tastes like steel pipe

Hotel is not so bad, but not so good either. Would prefer to stay in another resort next time. Phu Quoc island itself is very impressive and would definitely want to come back.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Sao Beach & motorcycle rental is a must!!

The Style (white shutters, huge verandahs, ceiling fans; The Gardens; The location of the pool and restaurants availing the position close to the ocean.

Language Barrier, if this is a CON when travelling in another country maybe to be expected

Overall the Grand Mercure La Veranda Resort was an great place to relax. The service was excellent down to their staff actually checking us in at the airport ensuring everything was fine prior to leaving us. The Gardens were immaculate. There wasn't any detail left up to the client to worry about.

Price of breakfast too high ($15)

La Veranda is a nice colonial stylish hotel with a beautiful garden and not too many rooms. The reception at the airport was good with in the bus already a cold towel. Rooms are nice and clean and have all the comfort you need. The staff gives it a personal touch by having a small talk to guests everyday. The Peppertree restaurant is very good. Also a nice garden restaurant for more snack kind of meals. The price for breakfast is too high though.
