- very elegant
- garden, swimming pool, restaurant, beaches in excellent condition
- noise coming from the laundry some day, which might last long hours
- English is not the first language
The place is fabulous, very relaxing atmosphere, your bungalow and terrace are immerse in amazing gardens, with thousand of flowers you do not usually see in different climates. Everything is very clean and very well maintained, the room was cleaned twice a day.
The service was excellent once they got our request; unfortunately, I think here there was a communication problem, most of the times they did not understand my English, so they were trying to help, but it was difficult to do so if you don't get the request...
Another thing to notice about the location of this place is that in the dry season, the beach is going to be fabulous, the sea is flat and blue. During the wet season, you might find this kind of paradise beach in the other side of the island (Sao Beach).
Food and reception were excellent.
Only negative thing is a noise coming from the laundry (almost every night) which might last very long hours (sometime started at 6am), I told the reception but they said this is normal ... incredible you might hear this noise from the restaurant too ...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : rent a bike and go to around the island, Sao Beach is paradise and don't miss the pearls factory!

price (extremly over-priced)
charging/paying this kind of money for that kind of hotel is just wrong.
Resorts at Mui Ne which offer the same facilities and the same kind of luxury are priced at around half of Mercure.
Not that there was anything to serously complain about, but Phu Quoc per se and the hotel in particular do not justify these rates.

Rooms, service, layout, design, confortable
restaurant, access, prices
The Hotel is nice and well decorated, with clean rooms and good service, the staff is very helpful. The hotel restaurant is to expensive compared with the outside restaurants and with what they have to offer, regarding the internet, the connection is poor and the computers they have to offers for guest to use are old and not updated so most of the pages or sites are unable to show. The pool is nice with a small Jacuzzi incorporated.
The access to the hotel still need some work.
Restaurant Tip : Carol restaurant
