Great budget place to stay, great pool and beach
Beach massage, price, swimming pool
8.3
if your on a budget this is a great place to stay, we ended up staying for 10 days
after we had stayed at the more expensive places, you get so much more for
your money here. breakfast is simple but if you get bored with it there are loads of
other places just outside, swimming pool is clean and in the sun allday, beach is on your
doorstep, and you can practically not move from your sun lounger all day,
as you can have a massage for about, fruit ladies come to you & cakes are
taken to you in the afternoon.
the amount we spent in 10 days was the same we spent in 2 days at the more
expensive hotel just around the corner, if you don't have money to burn stay here.
one thing is to be patient with the language barrier, you get what you want then.
the place is very safe with security at the entrance and you can hire a moped
just outside the gate.
if we come back we will stay here again, rooms are basic but perfect and loads of space.
people are really friendly, just smile, be cheeky and they get that.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a trip to sao beach, best beach on the island

Good mid range accomodation on the beach
Beachfront, professional service
7.3
kim hoa is quite a large resort that has been around for a while and is really well run. it is right on the beach so you couldn't ask for a better location. the rooms are quite large, clean, air conditioned and comfortable in a basic way. dont expect 5 star service when the hotel is obviously 1 star. however if you expect 1 star service you will be pleasantly surprised.

Cesspit of hotel, terrible in every way, overprice
2.3
This was easily the worst hotel we stayed in during our month long trip to Vietnam. Rooms were depressing. We booked a family room and it had only once tiny window, which was dirty and did not open. Paint peeling off the walls. No over sheet on the bed just a grotty blanket which we did not feel was clean. bathroom was disgusting. It was not clean. The shower was appalling. While we were there the toilet backed up with turds not of our makng and it became blocked. Despite calling to the reception twice and calling them on the phone three times nothing was done. The staff blatantly lied to us telling us that they would fix it but they never did. The room cost was an absolute outrage. There are a tonne of rooms available in this budget part of the Is,and which are much better value. The pool toilet was filthy. Breakfast was a depressing affair. You were give a choice of one food item and one drink. The food items were omelette or pancake or bread with jam and butter. There were a few other poor choices. The drinks included tea or coffee of lemon juiced etc. there was no fresh fruit and no fruit juices. At this prices it is not acceptable. As the room was not aired out there were loads of. Mosquitos and we were bitten many times during the night. Book at your own risk. Would have been fine if it was €20. Beachfront was tiny for the amount of people staying and there were not enough chairs. Adjust awful.

Rooms were basic and hotel was ok, if you don't spend much time in the room. Aircondition worked and beds were fine. Walls were dirty and shower did't have warm water. It's not worth of the price they ask.

Great location, average breakfast and slow service
Beach and location is great!
6.7
We had a beach bungalow. It was 20m from the beach and we loved the location. It's a short walk from the main town and also on a great part of the beach. Antyhing from this hotel and further south = good beach. North of this hotel the beach starts to dissapear and ends up turning into a sewage outlet so stay as south as you can afford!
Our room was ok. nothing special but we knew that going into it. There was a camp of russians that were up every morning at 8am reserving nearly every beach chair available so you had to get in quick but once you had your spot it was great. The cocktails were cheap but also a little short. And on one day the bar staff decided to not turn up till after 4pm. Service was slow and left a lot to be desired and the food was only average at the hotel. Breakfast was pretty much your choice of an omelet or pancake - No buffet or filling finish!
Out shower floor felt like it was going to give way but didn't thankfully.
All said, if you're looking for a place to just sleep and be on the beach that is cheap and has you well located, this is it. It also falls privy to the amazing sunset!!!
Restaurant Tip:
Mondo and Ocean Bar & Grill were our pics for food!

Fantastic location and great for families.
Friendly staff, fresh linen and room cleaned daily, set right on a gorgeous beach.
9.3
We really enjoyed our time at Kim Hoa and even extended by 2 days. It was great for our family. Our children, 5 and 7 years, loved it too. The beach in front of the resort has partial shade and lovely sand to play in. The ocean was crystal clear, even on the few overcast days, at this time of year (Dec). Staff were very friendly, though spoke little English (which was rarely a problem). For the standard, this is an excellent resort. We live in Asia and mostly choose 'budget' travel options so this was a step up for us and we were impressed. Security in the resort was excellent.
Restaurant Tip:
A great local restaurant in the lane way from the resort to main road. Night market had excellent seafood at good prices for dinner.

Good location and value for money
8
We stayed in a garden bungalow. It was roomy enough and large enough for us. The resort has a good pool and is right on the beach in a central location. It is definitely not a luxury resort but is a value for money place. We would stay here again. Note: they do not provide baby cots, so if oyu have young children, you may need to find another accommodation option

Great location, basic hotel
Great location, great beach
5.3
We stayed at the beach front banglo unit. Hotel and room are basic. Breakfast is a big letdown. However, the beach and location is fantastic.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Rent a bike to tour around the island, inexpensive fresh seafood. Lots of local food to experience. Beach at the South are beautiful.
