we had a decent size room with a good view of the beach and ocean. breakfast was fine. the swimming pool at the pool wasn't very clean so we didn't use it.

apart from the bellhop the staff were surly and miserable, probably due to the lack of people staying there. the room was basic but that's what we paid for so we can't complain about that. noisy nigh club underneath prevented the opening of widows which was a shame because there was a nice cool sea breeze blowing which would have been better than the a/c.

We. Booked online and arrived at the hotel by taxi, only to be greater by a very rude security guard who told us we could not come in, they were full, I told him I had booked abut it made no difference so I had to just go past him to reception, reception where only marginally better.room ok and was clean

I had the sea view room and that was a great decision. Can enjoy the sea from balcony.
Foods are ok. Staffs are friendly and quite nice.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Can take a taxi to visit pagodas. They all close to the hotel.

my husband and i stayed at the hoang yen hotel 1 in quy nhon, vietnam 03 -07 september 2012. overall the hotel is nice place to stay for the money. we had initial problems with two different rooms having water leak problems in the bathroom. the hotel personnel were nice and worked with us. eventually we got a room with no water problems. the breakfast buffet is not too bad. if you’re a non smoker beware because there is smoking everywhere. but our room was smoke free and we did not have any issues with the smoke.

Nice hotel spoiled by putrid pool

this is essentially a good hotel with many positive features. room had a superb view over the bay. it was clean and everything worked - no quibbles, here.
sadly, the whole experience was marred by a pool that had not been maintained for months. it was unusable.
