Nestled among the Hoang Lien Mountains, which has an altitude of 1,650 meters above sea level, the hotel offers guests views overlooking the Muong Hoa Valley. The Sapa Goldsea Hotel is five minutes away from Center Market and the town’s church. The rooms at this boutique-sized guest house have satellite TVs and spa-type baths. Some also offer nice bay windows. The on-site restaurant, Goldsea, offers European and Asian cuisine as well as buffets. Open Sky Bar, the bar on the top floor, is the ideal spot for you to relax with a drink as you enjoy the view over the Muong Hoa Valley.

Views from balcony.

Poor heating, little bit old.

We found the hotel at the end of the city where the pavement is the worst.Mini bus first refused to drop us, but after insisting we were dropped at the hotel which has no elevator! But staff was assisting to bring luggage up. Simple rooms with great views. No heating!. Buffet breakfast was outstanding, but next day, due to lack of enough guests, a "a la carte" breakfast was offered but only 2 items were included. That was poor. Also the booked tour with motorbikes was a rip off. We rented motorbike by ourselves the next day.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can walk to CatCat (easy trip) and hire motorbikes to see the other villages.

Hmong women gather outside the hotel to sell their wares to guests. They are persistent sellers, but not aggressive. If you're not buying from them, don't look at their (interesting, hand-made) wares. They're lovely people- get a guide (240,000 dong) and go to a Hmong village.

Restaurant Tip : Our local guide told us to eat at Red Dao House (48 Thac Bac Road, Sapa). Great suggestion! The food was excellent, the French wines were good, the service was good- all very reasonably priced.
