We were upgraded to a new room which is huge. The only thing is there is no mountain view which a bit disappointed. Hotel staff is friendly. Location is great as it is walking distance to Cat Cat Village

Great budget hotel with a view and friendly staff
The warm friendly staff, the very comfortable and nicely decorated room and the mountain view.

Overall a great hotel for budget conscious travellers.
PROS: Very friendly staff, willing to help you out as much as they can. Nice views(I was on the third floor, still nice but ask for one of the top levels). Very nicely decorated room and very comfy bed! Real fireplace if you are there in winter. I didn't eat there except for breakfast which filled the spot, but nothing to get excited about.
CONS: Wifi isn't great in the rooms - manageable but did drop too low to often to be particularly useful. In summer the rooms might get a bit hot. No fan or aircon. I was there in 28 degree temps and it was bearable but think it will be a bit hotter in the middle of summer!

Nice hotel. Room(s) on 4th floor (rooms numbers starting with 2xx, if I remember correctly, oddly enough) have a great view of the mountains. However, they are up several stairs. The staff were great. The only cons were that the bed was very firm and the room smelled slightly like wood fire smoke (from the fireplace, although not in use). However, it was still worth it in my opinion. The hotel is in a convenient location, has WiFi, and is a nice lace to stay. I would happily stay here again.

This hotel was a very good deal and I would recommend it to anybody. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was simple and adequate. There appeared to be many hotels in this area that may have had a better view than this, but the shared patio in front of my room was very nice and allowed us to meet other very nice travelers and make some friends. Our arrival in Lou Cai was a bit of a nightmare until I called the hotel for help and then everything went smoothly. Also, on the way back the hotel took very good care of us by having an arrangement with a local restaurant. They handed us off to a Lou Cai restaurant who took care of us from there - worked smoothly. In all a very good deal.
