Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Cap Saint Jacques Hotel Vung Tau Info
Conveniently located in the tourist area of Back Beach, the mid-range Cap Saint Jacques hotel has its' own nice private beach. This little slice of tropical exclusivity lies just 10 minutes from Vung Tau Hydrofoil port and, at 200 meters, it is a mere iron shot’s length from the Paradise golf course. The international 3-star hotel can arrange a bus or helicopter city tour, a fishing trip and even a night camping out on the beach. The hotel shares a very nice pool and beach area with DICs next door. Easy access, friendly service. I paid 40,000D for a chair and umbrella.
Very comfortable bed not hard like most Asian hotels.
For a 4 star, I was disappointed with the room. We had hot water but only tea and nothing to stir it with. The English speaking skill of the staff was not too good. I spent way too much time trying to get a glass of white wine. After buying my own, on a Saturday night the bar was closed and the staff could not find a wine opener, aargh.
The hotel is clean and comfortable. The advertising however is more for DICs next door. It is their pool and spa and restaurant on the internet and brochures. The spa at St. Jacques is a bit seedy. Their restaurant is ok and the breakfast were ok too. However, you need to get there early as the food disappears by 9:00. The staff were friendly and helpful, however, I was asked to give up my passport upon check in. All the information, even in the room say there are safety boxes in the rooms, however, there is not. The other disappointment we had was that the bar closed, inside and outside at 10:00 on a Saturday night, bummer! It is a ways from town so there is no night life, however, it is very close (across the street) from the beach area. Taxis are always available for the ride into town.
Restaurant Tip : The best food we had was at an Italian Restaurant Plein Sud on the main road. Small and open air but the food was excellent.
