Unfortunately we did not have a great experience here, staff & service was well below average & it wasn't the fault of the individuals, but the lack of training provided by management. Particularly when it advertises itself as a international.

good location, good food
location, food, amenities

We were first given a hillside room which requires climbing many stairs, not recommended if you are older. Then wifi did not work, so we complain. So the second nite they moved us to the beach side of the hotel near the lobby. This is the side of the hotel to stay at, NOT the hillside rooms. To get around after getting off the boat from saigon, we rent a moto in front of the boat station for $10.00 a day. Best way to see vung tau.

Just wonderful
Ocean views, large rooms, wonderful food.

Recently my family (husband, daughters 23, 19) stayed at the Lan Rung. Beautiful setting right on the coast, large rooms, wonderful food. However, we stayed hillside and it is quite a walk, over the road and up lots of stairs ! I would stay ocean side next time. The staff tried to charge us for things not in the room, ie., umbrealla which we did not have. The local use the swimming pool on the weekend and it is very crowded. The pool staff are very rude - but apart from this, the rooms are huge and the setting is amazing - Restaurant is medium priced but the setting is one of a kind. We would go back, but not on a weekend !

Misleading rooms on the hill side
Swimming pool, that's all
4.3
Lan rung is a quite good hotel. I have been staying in a room on te seaside and everything was fine.
But that time I had chosen a room on the hill side. It was impossible to regulate water temperature, which switched from cold to burning in 2 dec by itself. We were in a room with had a door to connect to another room. We could hear everything fr out neighbors. During the night, the ro was very noisy and it was impossible to sleep, I guessed because if some metallic stuff on the roof, and te wind.
The breakfast is disgusting. The swimming pool is nice

Nice hotel but just "okay" service
Ncei room; pretty views, nice pool
6.3
We really enjoyed our stay and would return again. We liked our room and the hotel grounds were well kept and clean as well. However, service was nothing to rant about. Although service was usual available, it was slow, and waiters generally handled silverware by bare hands holding fork tines and knife blades. Some training needs to be done in this area. Also, uncooked bacon was put on my sandwich. Even with a few noted exceptions, we enjoyed our stay and would return to this hotel during our next trip.
