Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Not bad, as the hotel just about 10 mins away from the Jetty.
Quite near the beach if you like to go to beach, and is in the central of city.

A great hotel
Clean Rooms, Internet & Friendly

A great hotel in Vung Tau. We thought it was great value for money: high-speed (20mbps) internet and clean rooms. The bed was comfy and the room had a clean and new feel to it.
We stayed in a few hotels in Vung Tau and this was, by far, the best.

Did the Job
Near the best Banh Khot in town (literally, 3 minutes walk)
5.3
The hotel is ok, it is my second time there and I had a good experience the first time that is why I choose the place. However this time my impression was a bit different. Just arrived to the hotel and I asked for the Wireless Pwd and first thing the girl at the reception said: we do not have wireless here. I was like, mmm, I couldn't believe that and I did a quick scan with my phone and of course, I found an open Wireless. So it was already disappointing to hear that to start with. The service this time was just nonexistent. I don't even recall a hello/xin chao every time I walk by the reception area. It is like if I was not there at all. In all fairness, the room was clean and water hot. The room was not big but had a lot of light. Overall, the hotel did the job but I would recommend the owners/staff to take a soft skills course. One last thing, the pillow was horrible, very high. Next time I need to bring my own pillow otherwise I cannot sleep.

The receptionist was very helpful when we needed information. The room is small but clean. Quiet place to stay if you don't like crowded hotels. Near to jetty, restaurants, popular tourist attractions and great bars. Will stay here if we visit Vung Tau again.

Good Location in a quiet side street
6.3
Fast check in with welcome smile.
Room are very basic but the bed cover looked quite old and not perfect clean.
At night, a cockroach visited our room even the light still on!!
The on duty staff at night cannot speak much english but still very helpful.
No breakfast but good location, easy to walk around and many bars nearby.

Clean and pleasant hotel in a quiet area
Great room with comfortable bed and large windows letting lots of light in
8.3
I got off at the port after taking the ferry from Saigon and jumped in a taxi. The driver didn't know the hotel by name, but was able to find it by the address. I gather this is why he took me on the scenic route. The ride took 20 mins and a drive around the point, but the hotel is actually quite close to the marina. I walked in 10 mins or so.
The hotel itself is tucked away on a side street not far from the front beach. The town itself is within walking distance too. It is a quiet location and provided me with a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Saigon.
I was impressed by the room, as it was full of light and the bed was extremely comfortable. The building itself feels very new and the fittings didn't feel very used.
Sky Luck doesn't have any facilities to speak of, but I was able to arrange a scooter to ride about town on. The wifi in the hotel was pretty poor while I stayed there, with websites taking forever to load and the signal dropping frequently. This would be the only point to complain about.
The staff were reasonably friendly but had limited English skill. They were able to assist with basics, but you might not get all your touristy questions answered.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Vung Tao is a great place to scoot around in. The streets are wide and the traffic is minimal by Vietnam standards. A highlight for me was riding along the beach road up the hill with the sound of the waves crashing beside me, peppering the breeze with salty spray.
Speaking of salty spray, I did hear it said that VT was the Pattaya of Vietnam. In terms of its proximity to Saigon this much is true. However it isn't an obviously sleazy town like its Thai cousin is. Sure, a visitor to Vung Tao can expect to meet a lot of touts promoting some massage service or another, but that scene is largely hidden from view. Plus, if you rent a scooter, you may avoid the touts altogether.
