Handy to all that we needed in Wellington

The kitchen, the lift, across the road from carparking
Two nights in Wellington to explore...........easy to walk around the city from this very handy apartment block. But parking is easy too, if you have a car, and we had a watchful eye on our rental from across the street!! Thank you Astelia..........we would use your services again!!

Great value and convenient location.

Location, value for money, amenities
Great price for a room with kitchenette in the middle of Wellington. Location was great being walking distance to all the attractions we wanted to see in Wellington (Museum and Cable Car). The amenities in the room were great to have at the end of our long road trip. Also pleasantly surprised by the number of dining options around the hotel. Only downsides were not having the room serviced every day (even when we agreed to pay for it) and our view on the 6th floor was directly into an office building.

Great location, service very average

Good location, check-in and check-out staff very "dry". Got a phone call at 10h45 that we were late for check-out and had to pay a surcharge. Yes they do write 10h00; make sure you read this and the rest of the fins print. Internet is also extra, with a 1G limit per 7day. The daily option is a higher $ rate and lower data limit.

(1) Great central location, (2) Polite obliging staff , (3) Nice clean porta cot supplied for our baby at no extra cost.
Hotel organisation was very good. We arrived just outside reception hours, however the after hours phone number was answered promptly and the friendly lady explained that our key would be in a lock box outside and how to gain access to it. Can't comment about food because didn't eat there so rated it 3 as required field. Negative aspects were, upon opening the door to the room there was a musty smell inside. The one very small window in the room could not be opened more than about 40mm due to very restrictive window stays. The odour did go away after a few hours. I don't know why the building designer put such a small window given the size of the wall. If the bed was turned 90 degrees to be put up against the side wall and the external wall had bigger window joinery it would be a nice room. As it stands, the room is dark, dreary, quite depressing really, due to the lack of natural light. The above mentioned make it 2.5 to 3 star at best. Check it out. Room 304.

Two nights in Wellington

Location. Good bed. Cleanliness.
We requested an upper level in this 13 floor block - and were allocated 3rd floor. Dark, no view. The room had one of the 3 disabled facility bathrooms, ( we are not disabled) shower very low, water went everywhere. Toilet very high. Uncomfortable. This room also had an inter connecting door, we were disturbed by the noise of crying child next door. Most annoying. We asked why had we been allocated a lower floor and disabled bathroom, the answer was that the hotel was fully booked - our bad luck - although we had made our booking 2 months in advance. They asked to take a print of our Credit Card upon arrival - when we enquired why - the reply was in case we trashed the room. At aged 73 we found this somewhat offensive.
