Wonderful honeymoon stay!!

Location, privacy, friendliness
Our initial question was whether we would be able to get into our room after arriving at 4am with the business office closed. Lynne the manager was very accomodating and immediately made arrangements for us to get our key to the room. Our room was wonderful with a view of the ocean right from our bed. What more could you ask for. Lovely place, easy transport to the main cities on the bus. Really more than we could have hoped for. Thank you!!!

Will not return again.

Staff was helpful
Too far from everything. Have to close shade for privacy. Air conditioning only in the bed room

Good value beach accommodation

Quiet location in lush tropical setting opposite the beach, well equipped laundry in the unit, clean and well maintained rooms
Generally very satisfied with the unit but it needs a dining table and chairs, and the frypan and eggslice were not clean.

Hidden away but well worth finding

Location, staff and size of rooms
Booked a 2 night stay and was impressed with the size of the rooms. The lady on reception was fantastic we arrived early evening and she also helped us book a round cairns in a day trip for the very next day. Also close proximity to the airport for our departure.

average appartments hotel. poor cleanliness

close to the ocean, nice pool and garden
In few words: the good thing is the size of the apartment, which suits a family with 2 little children. However, the bad things are numerous: very poor cleanliness. The floors very dirty and sticky, especially the bathroom. We literally had to mop all the floors 3 times until they were clean. The apartment was "serviced" only once during our 5 days stay and it included only emptying the bin. The sheets were not changed and well as the bathroom appliances including even the toilet paper, which we had to buy ourselves (literally soap, shampoo, paper etc). The sofa was extremely uncomfortable. We had a back pain and didn't sleep well for all 5 days we stayed there. The Internet connection was complimentary (up to 5 Gb), although it was terrible. The Internet was disconnecting every few minutes and need to re-enter the password etc. The managers really didn't care about that. The place seems to be quite quiet, but that only at the first sight. The walls are so thin that you can here all your neighbors, including people coming up&down the stairs. The location is OK - close to the ocean and Cairns, but the ocean was very dirty and actually we can't swim there because of the jellyfish. The beach is nice for a walk, not swimming. A couple who manages the place was nice, providing us with fishing rods, but that's probably the only positive thing I can say about them. This place needs a serious clean up and renovation ASAP! The price is quite high considering all these issues, as everything in Cairns (and in Australia generally). There are no decent restaurants nearby. Need to drive to Cairns (~15-20 min). However, it's much cheaper to buy and cook your own food. Go to Coles/Woolworth, but not IGA (overpriced completely). If staying in this hotel, must rent a car. No accessible public transport. Bottom line: don't think I would stay there in the near future.
