I've booked for double bed but they gave me twins... Breakfast is good... Nothing much around the area... Airport transfer is one plus point...

Good location and service, big and clean rooms

we stopped here for a second time and do not regret it. the hotel offers large and clean rooms. staff quickly and accurately respond to questions and comments. air conditioning, tv and hot shower with good water pressure worked perfectly. breakfast is available from 7 am to 10 am. not really understand the reviews that people are not satisfied with the breakfast. the choice of 2-3 simple morning meals, fruit, toast and coffee / juice to choose from - this is a bad breakfast? in my opinion, excellent. yes, indeed, one guest can count on one cup of fresh coffee or juice for free. but i think it's not such a big problem. in any case, many thanks to the team for their work and service.

Quiet location, helpful staff

Reliable service, clean amenities, quiet ambience

Hotel provides complimentary airport transfer which we found to be very punctual and reliable. Not all staff can speak fluent English, but they are generally very helpful, polite and reserved. We stayed on the 3rd floor (there is no lift service). Room is spacious and very clean. Not much for window view. Slippers are available in the room, and you will need to wear them for the bathroom as the tiles can be slippery when wet. Restaurant serves simple fresh buffet style breakfast from 7am-10am. Choices include rice porridge, fried vermicilli, hams, bacons, omelettes, bread, local fruits, and coffee. Beerlao costs 10000 kips per small can. Hair dryer is available upon request from the front desk. Hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the Mekong night market and 10 minutes walk from the Nam Phou water fountain.
Restaurant Tip: For lunch, try the Laos beef noodle soup(served with a generous helpings of fresh herbs and vegetables)@17000 kips at one of the local favorite restaurants. Ask the front desk staff for walking direction - it is about ten minutes walk from the hotel. For dinner, try Kua Lao Restaurant, it is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. You can get a Lao Dinner set for 130000kips(which is enough for 2 pax). Restaurant provides light cultural entertainment of Laos music and dance(two dancers only) from 7.30 pm onwards.

this a quiet and small hotel which is centrally located and only probably 10 mins walking distance to the royal palace, the morning market and the night market along the riverside. the staff don't speak english well but friendly. breakfast is adequate and room is huge with four poster king size bed and one additional single bed. i'll stay here again when i come to vientienne next time.

A convenient place in a very good location.

Located near to government and major companies locations. Close to restaurant area.

The hotel is located in the crossroad of two of the most important roads in Vientiane, Laos capital. Close to government offices and international organizations, is well positioned for businessmen looking for an affordable hotel. The rooms are clean with acceptable Wi-Fi connection and TV service. With no elevator, is a little inconvenient for old people. The restaurant will cover your basic needs for breakfast, being a little boring after a couple of times given the short menu offered. Room service is almost inexistent so you need to plan your meals outside the hotel as the restaurant has little to offer for lunch or dinner. Laundry service is ok, but you need to ask for your clothes at the reception desk as they will not bring them to your room.

Lovely hotel with good location

Location-good as in the centre of the city of Vientiane.

The reception needs to polish on the English language as there seems to be some miscommunication at times, you need to be patience enough to repeat n repeat the same issue. The bath room should be improvised with some stainless Steel racks or can make do with plastic racks too for the conveniences of ladies with tons of skin care items. The window would be best if there is a sheer curtain to filter the sunlight into the room. A note: the next building is just few meters away that you can actually view thro' As checked thro' some of the new hotels nearby, this AV hotel is lacking-FOC laundry as provided by some outlets with the same rate.
Restaurant Tip: Restaurants n cafe around the AV hotel: Just next door, a Laos Restaurant n one a bit further down the road. Near the Tam Dam, a number of wine n dine restaurants. Further down the same road towards the left side (hotel), a numbers of small cafe selling juice, sandwich n local dishes n western cuisine as well. Walking towards the fountain, more restaurant n cafe of popularity.

Great hotel, good location, huge rooms

Good location, pleasant hotel and facilities

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for a few days whilst in Vientiane. This hotel offered reasonable accommodation for the price as it was positioned in a good location. We stayed in a superior room with breakfast included. At first it was difficult to get a smile from some staff (however have a feeling it is the norm in this city) but they treated us well. There was no lift in the accommodation (we knew this prior) so make sure you request a room on a lower level. The rooms are huge in space though! The hotel is located only a short stroll to the main city areas. The breakfast we received was not too bad either. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip: Make sure you get a lower level room as there is no elevator in complex.

Our stay in this hotel was somewhat disappointing. Staff spoke very little english, rooms were very basic. No tea/coffee facilities in the room. An electric kettle was provided, but the plug on the cord was not the correct fitting, it could only be used with an adaptor. Breakfast was very basic.

Had another good stay at the AV Hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Airport pick-up and drop-off work very well. Construction in the neighbor didn't bother us at all. No sounds from there what so ever. Location is very central in the small tourist area of Vientiane. Recommended.
