Under Construction.
Japanese owner, Japanese breakfast and location.
Currently, I can not evaluate this hotel. This is because they are in the whole building renovated and reopened late February.

Great hotel, but too isolated from main road
Cleanliness, Staff Service, Stable WIFI
Yangon travelers will know that having a stable WIFI connection to work on your computer with is a luxury in Yangon.. Aye Chan Thar has just that! Room interior, beds and finishing was of high standards by Yangon's standards. The only setback was its toilet, where i had to bathe in a Japanese style pair which is too small for me. Also, the hotel was located off the main road. It is quite dark and scary to walk from Shwe Gone Daing main road into the small unlit road to get to the hotel at night. But the staff service was excellent, and made up for all these deficiencies. Highly recommended is this newly opened Sapel Burmese Traditional Foot Spa at Chinatown's 16th Street close to Mahabandoola main road. I returned to it many times during my stay for the ambience and 5 star service standards inside the massage place. It is truly something extraordinary from Yangon's unkept and dirty streets, especially a haven compared to the busy Chinatown streets outside. I think all tourists should go try out the place, especially relaxing after a day's tour and walk around downtown Yangon.

no value for this high price
to leave
as a guesthouse for 15 to 20 USD acceptable but not for Agoda price 61 USD and for step in price 100 USD. Part of the hotel like toilet and stairs up in front of my room are very dirty.

Quiet Stay off the main road
Fast Internet, Quiet Location, Hard wood floor
I was expecting the hotel on Shwe Gone Dine Road. But it was off the main road and on the small side street at low lying ground. The next day morning, during the heavy rain storm, the street was flooded up to waist deep level at some part of the street. I have to wait about 2 hours until the water drained off before heading out. So it is a not good choice during the raining season. The lobby was a narrow corridor that has barely enough room for 4-5 people to sit down. The only good thing was surprising fast internet connection.

Feel at Home
Nice Staff + Close to Main Road + Close to Good Restaurant
Tidy Clean up room, Scented room, Nice & Friendly & Good English Skill Staff, Fine Japanese Restaurant and Breakfast, Close to Delicious Italien Restaurant and Close to Main Road. But, Small room, Cobweb outside window, Inconvenient bathtub, Old Footpath Carpet and Road to Hotel is quite not good. Anyhow, I recommend this hotel is fine to stay as it is quite comfortable to go other places and easy for Eating.

Value for Money

It is one of the best hotels under 100 dollars per night in Yangon. I can recommend this Japanese management hotel to all others...

Comfortable room, (expensive) japanese cuisine.
Fast internet, comfortable bed, clean room.
Our last hotel on a 28-day-trip through Myanmar and definately the best one. It's a little off the main road and very quiet. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the beds cozy and the internet really fast (which is rare in Burma). The included japanese breakfast is good although we wouldn't recommend the restaurant for dinner since costs are high and meal size is small.

Good hotel, good value for Yangon
Good room
Our favourite out of 3 hotels in Yangon. Everything fine, good value for Yangon but overpriced relative to other ASEAN countries.
