Brilliant spectaculair rooms!
Designed rooms, nice personnel, location close to public transport
We liked our stay in this B&B very much, because it is conveniently located; it is very close to the palace, the cathedral, but also you can take the train which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel, directly to the airport, some 40 minutes away. The rooms are spacious and brilliantly designed; you can look in the room and see different things every time you look again! Breakfast is good and personnel is friendly.

Cool B&B in the centre of Palermo
location, design, staff
Lovely welcoming staff and funky design make this the obvious choice when visiting Palermo. The owners clearly have an eye for interior decoration and have made this a warm and inviting accommodation within a 500 year old building.

A charming retreat in the busy city
Very helpful staff, funky design, great room
Brilliant - very attentive staff who helped us make restaurant reservations during peak season. Lovely decor in the room - quite modern and funky. An oasis of calm.

Amazing staff service in a nice place.
Service, architecture, cosy.
Really great place in a middle of a rather poor and old Palermo district. Very close to the city, easy access. Absolutely amazing owners with superb service.

fabulous service!
smiles, service and location
Alessandro was extremely helpful from before we even got there and just as helpful upon arrival. Always smiling! The B&B is extremely deceptive from the outside as it opens up into a fascinating and welcoming area. So many interesting designs inside. We had a mezzanine room which was perfect. There were always snacks available and breakfast was prepared for us each morning to our tastes. Such a lovely stay with great service and attention to detail. Thank you!

Cozy and central
Central location and very helpful staff
This B&B is located bang in the middle of old Palermo therefore it is ideal as starting point for city explorations. The staff gave us great tips on local attractions worth visiting, good food spots, including markets, and provided a nice map. Rooms are a bit old fashioned, but overall clean and silent. Very good breakfast.

Oasis in the hustle and bustle of Palermo
Location, price and friendliness of the staff
Alessandro and his team could not do enough to make sure that our stay was enjoyable. We were very well looked after and made very welcome. I would definitely stay at this B&B next time I am in Palermo.

Pure Excellence!!
Great location. Great service. Great Establishment all round!!
upon arrival i was delighted with everything about this b&b - so much so, that i extended my stay and all up, i spent 14 nights here! the b&b is centrally located in the old part of palermo, close to the pallazzo reale and the cathedral.it is contained within an old building that has been tastefully refurbished in recent years and overall, it is very pleasing asthetically. the friendly and helpful service offered by alessandro and his staff is second to none. the breakfasts are amazing (great coffee, juices, fruit platters, an assortment of fantastic pastries and toasted sandwiches)but the hospitality doesnt stop there - fresh fruit and complimentary water and soft drinks are also available for guests. b&b castro di porta assures you of excellent value for money - if anything, their rates should be much higher. this is possible the best european b&b i have stayed in. i have no hesitation in recommending it!!

Spacious apartment, helpful host
The biggest issue is the location. Not the owner's fault, but as a guest, you can't help but being affected. The amount of rubbish on the streets is alarming. We've traveled through other locations in Palermo and it was much cleaner. The B&B itself was ok. We were given an apartment which looked entirely different than the presentation - lots of stairs to climb! But was spacious enough. There was bathroom odor. There was an area provided for basic cooking, but there were no cutlery, plates - not even a glass. Breakfast was rather poor. Food was on display, but you'd have to go and ask for things every time and it felt rather impolite, so we just settled for a croissant. P.S. - I'm sorry, but it was definitely not a quiet location.
