Small intimate atmosphere. Very relaxing.

Friendly staff. Children friendly. Beautiful decor.
We travelled with a four year old and a six year old. The hotel felt very safe and we were able to relax with our young boys. The breakfast buffet each morning was very pleasant, as were the meals served at the cafe overlooking the pool and beach. The staff were at all times kind and helpful. We appreciated the warning signs that Hua Hin beach has jellyfish so we settled for a mix of making sand castles, collecting shells and swimming in the hotel's two shallow pools. Hua Hin has a lot of sea front hotels but we couldn't imagine that most of them would feel quite as relaxing as this one with its elegant wooden facade and blossomed shady surroundings. Our room was clean and comfortable, the furnishings reflecting the relaxing ambiance of the whole resort. We are already planning to return, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to our closest friends.

Mixed feelings

Location on the beach, large room, quiet
I am not sure about this hotel. The staff were trying but some seemed not well trained. The location on the beach is great but the hotel is not near much of anything but a busy street (it is off the busy street so it's quiet). The hotel charged me 3 times a taxi rate for a ride 1km down the road. The food was good, not great, and the restaurant overlooks the beach. The room was large and the grounds were nice but overall the property is getting tired. Wi-fi very unreliable. I was there mid-week, off season and paid almost what I paid for high end 4 and 5 star hotels in central Bangkok with many more amenities.

Great location but botique means run down

location, art deco colonial infulence style and quiet
We arrived in a party of 4 3 adults one child under one after staying at two other hotels that week 5 and 4 star. Whilst it is described at boutique I feel that this just means small. The hotel check in was fine and the rooms are spacious with great wi fi in fact best out of the week other hotels. The hotel has a great location on the beach but the beach itself is not so great it has gelly fish even in the sand and crabs and horse muck so not romantic strolls down there. The pool in the hotel seems switched of and very small. the rooms are spacious with grand deco style wooden floors and real art but the beds are like rocks and I simply could not have slept there for longer than one night. The bathrooms need a makeover as they are showing their age and run down. The place seemed deserted but to be fair it was out of season never the less. The staff were okay but far from welcoming and not pleasant on checking out which went beyond checking the mini bar. The hotel needs investment as it has potential to be great with some money on upgrading and TLC it could be stunning. we were amazed that the on sit bar and restaurant closed at 10 p m so not great for socialising or in fact a drink before retiring to bed. We did think all things in account it was overpriced for the experience. Having said this if you were a loner or writer type the perfect place to get away from it all.

A lovely, relaxing retreat.

Location, the management and the peace & quiet
We will be going back. A small, personal hotel in the centre of town.
