Lovely family!
We left because the huts were in a poor condition. But they have a nice and good restaurant.

Dirty, not nice, ants

nature, wildlife
The resort is located very far from the main river in khao sok. The family who runs the resort is very nice but they do not look after the accommodation rooms. Our treehouse room was rotting with holes in the walls and very dirty. We went out for some drinks and on arrival back to our room we found a colony of ants in our bed. The next day we packed our bags and left for Phuket. Not a nice place.

Appealing place, awful staff

Food was reasonable
during the last four months we have spent in Asia this is undoubtedly the worst place we have stayed. The owners are unpleasnt especially if you do not buy an overpriced your from them. We returned from a day trip to find they had left the doors wide opened. When I asked why they became quiet agressive and said that they had "been around all day so it doesn't matter" unbelievable, On our last day they decided to chop down a tree next to our hut and then make a bonfire right outside!!! The smoke was in our hut for the whole of the last day. I was clear that the owners really couldn't care less about their guests. There are plenty of nice places to stay in Khao Sok, this palce isn't one of them

Over prices for 2 stars

Staff, common area, helpfulness
The people were really nice but over all these were poorly maintained huts. The staff/family was super nice but for the price I paid it was too much for huts.

this place is great, lovely family run place.great food at reasonable prices. The family came tubing with us was great! Went treking the second day and swimming in the cave was a great day with a nice lunch. Will definately be back!

Ok stay, very simple

at first the staff seemed nice until they tried to screw us
The main issue was when we tried to leave... They said free transfer to AND from bus stop... We got free transfer on the way in, no problem. On the way back though, the woman at the hotel told us the bus is at 13pm. So we wait in the lobby and at 12:30 she comes to our table saying the bus is in advance, we need to go NOW. But her husbands elephant died, normaly he can take us for free but now she could not do anything (yeah right!), fair enough, we said we'll pay the 50 baht she asks... Funny thing, it was the same driver & car that took us for FREE on the way in. We're like ok... Then after the 2 minute drive (literraly!) the guy is like 50 baht each, which we said no, only gave him 50. And "best" of all, they try to put us in a minibus (we asked for public bus which is one third of the price)... they are like "yes phuket phuket you need to buy tickets and go now"... We're like "hell no, we wait for public bus"... 15 minutes later it arrives, we pay 200 baht each to get to Phuket.. All in all, the hotel staff and their friends tried to rip us off. Something you deal with on regular basis in Thailand, it's the game, I just can't accept this from a hotel where you already spent close to 5000 baht !

Nice place, nice people

Family run, clean, friendly
The family who run this place are really nice. The restarant area also seems to be their living room so the whole family hangs out there watching tv, playing with the kids etc. So a nice atmosphere. The resort did seem to be a little further out than other resorts - it was down a track and maybe a 10-15 min walk to the 'centre' of town (which isn't really that bad if you think about it...). Think the restaurant was open until 9pm but you could hang out there until 10pm.
