Near the beach, near bars, near restaurants
Is this is the only place in Thailand without mosquito nets? To compound this the door didn't close flush so there was a big gap for critters to get in. I got bitten all over in my sleep. Laundry service. lol... they get a local laundrette to collect your washing on a day of their choosing & return the day after. Just walk out of the hotel & drop it off yourself for next day. Easier & cheaper. Take earplugs to bed. Someone plays music & wailing aligned with their religion loudly at 5.30am each morning. This then wakes the cockerels (roosters for Americans) who ensure that you can't get back to sleep!!

Wonderful place to stay

Location, room, staff
We had a very pleasant stay at Baan Rabieng. We had a high quality room with bathtub and balcony with sea view. You only have to walk 100 metres to the beach. Furthermore, Baan Rabieng lies in quiet surroundings, a 7-Eleven lies only 100 metres away, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. In conclusion, the hotel provides the best facilities to have a relaxing and wonderful holiday, and we can highly recommend this place.

surly and difficult stay

rooms good, beach great although a bit away, 7-11 close
dissapointing. In 1000s of motel nights, this is the most frustrated I've been, over not that much money. we paid for better rooms that we got due to a booking confusion...we finally agreed to pay, and they charged us even more...then upped it again about double once more for breakfast for a child. just so poorly handled it left a super bad impression. my guess is the mediocre reviews of this place are largely because the people make themselves so hard to like. beach is great...but have to walk past a beat up dead car and through a small field. will be a good place with some new management and some upgrades. we use the 2 nights we booked as they woudldn't let us cancel...and found a place down the beach for 60% of the price, better amenities, great people for the following week.

nice place in wrong location. Needs renovation.

Location, big porch
The hotel itself is nice, we had a little problem finding the right way to get in with our motorbikes. We stayed in 2 rooms - 1 superior with extra bed and 1 standard. Rooms need renovating as the walls were cracked and it seemed like it might collapse. We loved the porch where you can have your morning coffee (a kettle on the rooms would be nice) or just sit in the evening. There is a lot of bugs and insects but hey it's nature. Surrounding doesn't impress at all - old buildings and ruins. THIS HOTEL DOESNT HAVE A PRIVET BEACH as they state on the website. The stuff and services is very poor. It was 3 of us in 1 room and when we asked for extra bottle of water we have been told it's only 2 bottles per room. The same with toilet paper, THERE IS ALLOWANCE - 1 roll per day! Staff suggested to go to the 7-11 and buy a extra roll if we w need it. Our room wasn't cleaned once during our 3 nights stay. After first night we didn't put 'please make up my room' hanger outside so we though it's our fault but next day we left it on our door handle and our room wasn't cleaned anyway. The rubbish which we left on the porch wasn't taken away as well. We had to go every day to the reception for fresh towels and water as no one been bothered to bring it to our room daily. We are very disappointed on staff and services but still the hotel is in great location and with good standard of facilities.

Perfect place to take a rest and enjoy the holiday

food, beach and people
Just after coming we were warmly welcomed. The room was clean and very well equipped. What we loved it was a wonderful view and a large beach. It's not touristic place, so we could take a rest having a big space to delight the sun, the sea and the calm. The best thing we could experience: the little restaurants on the beach especially after sunset. The little table set on the sand, delightful meals and lovely people have created a romantic ambiance. Regarding the hotel, it was close to the beach, the breakfasts were tasty and the hosts so nice. We strongly recommend this place for the people who dream about experiencing a real calm.

Very good customer service and nice rooms

Staff, Room comfort, Peaceful
After a bit of a mix up to start with the staff at Baan Rabieng were very helpful and not pushy at all. Location is nice as it is near the beach and a little off the main road so nice and quiet. Clean and comfortable rooms were perfect to start our holiday with a really relaxing few days
