A Gem on the Beach

This was my second stay at Baan Talay. I like the layout, atmosphere and the fact that it is right on the beach. Great value for money, why stay anywhere else?
I like the Resort. Everything was good. Will be back in April.

Jeff Hogan's

Food, beach access and pool.
Our stay was excellent. Only complaints I have they were not aware we were arriving. When asking for information seem to be a bother for one of the office staff.

Baan Talay Hotel

Cleanliness, Location and friendly staff
A small and clean beach side boutique hotel. We has been upgraded to pool view room but it almost the same as garden deluxe room which we can't see the pool view as the plants have blocked the view. The room is clean and neat but the water heater pressure is not stable. The air conditioner in the room was noisy and the pillow is too firm for us. Breakfast not much choices but the foods are OK. The staffs are friendly. I have emailed to request for birthday surprise during our arrival but hotel staff has informed that they did not receive the email. The reception staff has offered me that they can buy on behalf of us which they asked their colleague to go the shop nearby hotel to buy for us. Overall a good stay at Baan Talay Resort.

Overrated hotel, mosquito, strict policy
Not pleasant, overrated hotel. Hotel staff particular on number of guests, despite children stay for free (using existing bed), hotel policy dictated the need to purchase ABF for each guest regardless if we would like to take breakfast in hotel. The room (garden view) is infested with mosquito, very bad WiFi reception on this part of hotel rooms (facing garden). Toilet bowl flushing keep retaining residue, unpleasant sight to even consider using the toilet. Inconsistent hot shower, water temperature unpredictable (cold most of the time). Air conditioner is having issue, when complaint that one of the room is having aircond problem (not getting cold), the first thing the staff said is we SHOULD NOT set the temperature to 18 degree Celcius (if it's cold, we won't tamper with the remote control, they didn't even tell the air-cond cannot set to 18 degree). Very far away from Central Festival, about 2+ km walking distance. Swimming pool towel, only can change during daily housekeeping, they have limited towel, very inconvenient if we wish to swim for more than once a day. Hotel leave a notice reminder when we NEED to check out, and even when we haven't checkout (before even 12pm checkout time), the staff already rushing in to chase us out to clean the room, utterly unbelievable attitude portrayed. Consider other hotel choices if possible, not recommended to stay in this hotel.

Great location and attentive staff

location, value for money, attentive staff
I stayed here for 2 nights at Beachfront room type, view from the room is so stunning, great view, woke up every morning watching the sunrise in front of the room. Hotel is settled in a great location, close to family mart (7/11). Staff performance is also good, with good service mind. Breakfast is ok, variety of foods.

Stay here

Location, cleanliness, beach
This place is amazing. I never write reviews, but it deserves it. We live in china and travel around Asia all the time. Very few places impress us in every area, but this definitely did. It's close enough to be convenient to everything but very quiet at night. Bepreakfast was VERY good. Stop looking at reviews and stay here!!!

A simple yet valuable boutique resort

1. Swimming pool is great - beach view. 2.Location near to Chaweng Street 3. Cafe is located next to the beach
A simple boutique resort suitable for those who looking for a night stay while day time full with other activities (out side hotel). Limited facilities I.e. no pool bar, no spa.
