Value for money
Near Masjid Jamek station, prolly two blocks away from the exit. Good beds, not too cold. Showers got shampoo/bath gel. Basic breakfast. Only thing is, room smells kinda funky. Other than that, it's all good.

Warm and neat
It takes short times to go to china town and the subway. Very convenient. Staffs are warm heated, can speak Mandarin and English. Rooms are exactly like the pictures showed above. They also prepared breakfast for us even though we left at 5 am!!!

Incredible stay in an incredible city
A really great place with incredibly friendly staff willing to give you personal recommendations for anything and everything you want. They also run some really awesome tours/things to do around the city that definitely made my experience in KL so great!

The pictures lies
The double standard room is very small, like 5 qm and smelt moldy. After complaning we get another room, which was for 3 persons. This room was okay, but the bathroom has a bad smell of sewers. But the staff was great, they were very helpful and nice.

Great hostel
The beds were comfortable and the huge in room lockers were great. The entire property is beautiful, and breakfast in the courtyard is fun. Wifi was pretty quick. I'd put some hooks in the lockers, but that's about it.

Perfect place to stay in KL
I stayed at Backhome for a total of 5 nights during my trip to Malaysia. The hostel is perfectly located to all the main attractions and is very close to the Masjid Jamek LRT. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. It is a great place to meet like minded travellers.

Clean, comfortable, modern place
This place is great. It's clean. It's friendly. It's secure. It's organized and connected to a little cafe that is perfect for grabbing a meal, or coffee, or dessert. There are many activities posted for anyone who is down to explore a bit. There's a media room where you can watch movies or plug in a USB to watch something of your own. There are two desktop computers available for anyone to use although, if you have your own device, wifi was really good the whole time I was there. The property has an industrial feel to it but is accented with comfty touches. There is a deposit required for linens. You can "rent" towels if needed. Soap is provided in the sinks and showers. I stayed in one of the four bed dorms. The bed was super comfty and not noisy at all, which I found surprising for bunk beds. I especially liked the small cubby at the head if each bed with an outlet, couple of shelves, and a personal bed light, perfect for reading and nit so bright that it disturbs the others too much. There was a sink in the dorm room for brushing teeth or face washing or whatever. Lockers are large. Bring a lock or you can buy one there if you want. One unique touch that was welcoming and sweet is that the staff artistically writes the names in chalk on the doors of the people staying inside. Super simple idea but I loved it. The aircon gets turned off from 12-6pm but if you are hanging around and want it back in, just ask. The staff is super helpful. If you're headed ANYWHERE and aren't exactly sure, the staff is really great at providing directions. If they aren't sure, they're happy to look it uo. I left at 5:30 am to catch a flight. The overnight security guy ran to catch a taxi for me, which I greatly appreciated, though it sounds like that is something he's used of doing. Overall I had a great stay. I'd definitely stay there again and recommend!
