Beware of weekend nights

Location, value
7.7
Never again on a weekend night ! Due to dedicated parking for permanent residents there are few parking bays for travellers booking in. Combine this with a massive influx of patrons visiting the Action Bar on weekend nights it leaves hotel guests with NO PARKING at all, not even mentioning the loud music playing into early hours of morning.

Unwelcome Guests
3
Unwelcome,A Restaurant manager was the rudest manager I have come across We did not have the desire to sit and have meals there, as a result we opted to go to another place. Noting by his attitude ,I believe he still wants to live in the apartheid era with Whites only. We would certainly not visit this place again and would not recommend it to anyone else

Game Lodge - Where was the Game ?

It was close to the area we needed to be in
6
It was just off the main highway,on entering the grounds we were excited at the prospect of seeing game. On Checking in at a very smart reception area we asked about the different types of game to be seen, and was informed that all the game had been removed. That was the first dissapointment. As we drove round the corner to our appointed rooms it became apparent that the so called game lodge was no more than a building site with several 3 storey buildings in various stages of completion. The old Lodge was no more, having been replaced with at least seven blocks of 3 storey accommodation and several other buildings still to be completed. Supper on the first evening was held in the original bush pub. Service good and the food average. Buffet Breakfast was in the restaurant next to reception, upon enquiring about lunch or even snacks I was told no, they serve breakfast until around 10.30 but nothing available to guests afte that - you order form the bush pub. I may add that this is the only restaurant facing the pool area, which also looks on to the incomplete buildinds not an area you would like to take your family . I would not recommend this type of accommodation to families or anhyone who wants a good nights sleep, as there is a major nightclub/bar area within the grounds which is frequented by the student population. So if you are looking to check into a lovely quiet, tranquil game lodge this is not the place for you.!!

What an absolute waste if money, the so called "luxury" room is mediocrity dressed up! And in top of it all the reception staff eluded to tell us that there was no running water on our arrival and Just let us check in! We only found out there was no water once we tried to shower!
