Hotel with mixed views
Pro 1) Tallest hotel in BKK. View is great from Room or at least from breakfast floor 82/78. 2) Free outgoing only shutter service to Siam/Chatuchak/Airport Link. 3) Located in Partunam area. Early morning & night market/Platinum/Pantip/Big C/Central nearby. 4) Fast checkout. Less than 5 mins :) Con 1) Need to rely on hourly shutter service to get to BTS (Siam) and coming back will be a long walk from BTS unless take cab/tuk tuk. 2) First floor is always crowded with tourists from tour buses. Main entrance and getting to the lift is not a pleasant experience. 3) No free upgrading of room even thought staying for 7 nights during this non peak period. Not really a con but will surely encourage us to choose this hotel again for next trip.

Very tired hotel.
I once visited this hotel a decade ago and was amazed. Tallest hotel in Bangkok and everything was spanking new. Sadly it wasn't maintained. It has seen better days. There was even a cockroach on the wall of the buffet area. Tsk tsk. Roomwise, carpet is smelly, furnitures are ok, bathroom was nice since it looks like it had been renovated. We got the space zone room in the 68th floor and boy it was really high! Thumbs up there! Caution here: they have very fast elevators so it is not advisable to people with sensitive ears. For the location, this is a good choice. Airport link from Ratchparop station. Night market shoppers will truly love this hotel. There are newer hotels surrounding this one which offer almost the same price. Its worth checking out if you are after a more relaxing and clean feeling stay. But for the high floor stay, dining and closeness to the night market, this is worth an experience.

Value for Money
The hotel is located near downtown central shopping district. Walking distance from Platinum mall, Central World, Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery, MBK and very accessible. But the hotel is not maintained well and run down and in the middle of night market neighbourhood. It's value for money, buffet breakfast is not that fantastics, staff are friendly and good for short stay for shopping trips. The only appeal is being the highest hotel in BKK, second tallest building in town that offers great view and sky line.
