Middle of nowhere

Middle of nowhere booked 2 nights left after one, aircon was bloke next been there for about 4 years taking acid and painting, room had its own zoo full of Mosquitos

Very quiet and secluded.

Peace
6.7
Be aware that this hotel is about half an hours walk from the beach. There isn't much else around, apart from a few small local 'shops' on the way to the beach. We only stayed one night, as it wasn't for us, but has its merits as a quiet retreat.

no-one cares about this place

location, garden, pool
3.7
When we entered the room, the first thing we noticed was a soiled blanket and no top sheet. The bathroom was poorly maintained and had a serious toilet leak. The staff are untrained locals with very little language skills. No fresh juice on the menu, which is highly unusual in Bali. Overall, you get the impression that there is no-one to really care for the place. It's a shame because it's a lovely 30 minute walk to the magnificent Balangan Beach.

dirty bathroom and not so close to balangan beach

quiet, large bedroom, and large bed

the bathroom was dirty, nice bedroom, not so close to the beach

Enjoyable

We really enjoyed the lovely gardens and the quiet location and a very comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We would stay there again happily, as we mostly enjoyed being away from all the other tourists. Sadly it was fully booked the second night we wanted to stay, so we could only stay one night. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and the wonderful high ceilings house a few local cicak, or gheckoes, so the staff need to be a bit more onto it cleaning up the floors and behind the beds. Nonetheless, the linens were fresh, and we loved our time there. A short drive to the beach was fine as we had our own rental car.

Ok but not great

Our stay was ok. The shower didn't have proper drainage and the pool has no shade but the beds were comfy and their fried noodles were yummy.

Was a good stay but wouldn't stay again

The Gardens are beautiful, its very peaceful, The pool has an area for the children.

I would not choose to stay here again because it is to far out of the way. The staff were very un-organised and put us in the wrong room with out the extra bed we requested because they only looked at one booking, then they came to me with still one day before check out and asked me when i will be checking out with a tone that suggested i should have been gone hours ago. Then they asked me to pay, which i had already done over the internet. There is a beautiful quite beach at the end of the road that the surfers seem to love.
Deanne B. Couples South Africa, April 18, 2013
Comfortable and relaxing without the frills.

It was very relaxed, close to the beach and close to town, Balangan beach is stunning!
7.3
We really enjoyed our time at Balangan Bungalow. It was very affordable and the staff were friendly although not all fluent in English. You had to have a motorbike to get around but the staff will organize one at your request and its very affordable. Its close to both the beach and town which is great for relaxing as well as eating out. There is no much of a food option provided and the internet was not great, but we were there to relax anyway.
Mariska S. Couples Indonesia, January 4, 2013
Nice hotel

Quite neighborhood and big room
6
The room was clean and the bed was big. However, there was a "cicak"/"tokek", a very small lizard that made sound. The hotel is located in a very quite neighborhood in Jimbaran but it is very far from Downtown or the main district. The breakfast was good.
