Best location

Perfect location, very nice pool and great valua for money

Old Bali style hotel which is good because they tend to build more and more, higher and higher and Bali doesn't look like Bali anymore.... At least the Balisani is still the real bali

Best location

Walking distance airport, first beach, best value for money

We walked from the airport. I thought that would be convenient for a start. But then I realized there's nothing similar to this place, cheap, clean, friendly staff, close to the best beach in KK, huge food market near by, etc.... Perfect as a home base, and then visiting around...

Perfect location. Hôtel remains like the old Bali used to be, tropical gardens, Balinaise cottages. I have come here of t'en and will continue. Very friendly staff

Partly renovated

Great location, good aircon, nice gardens

Was pleased to see the front steps to the hotel (which had been falling down for years) have been replaced with nice new concrete stairs. Our room was partly renovated with a nice new bathroom (only lukewarm water though). Noisiest bed ever - there was a thin piece of plyboard under the mattress which made for restless sleep due to the loud creaking. Good cold aircon. Cleaning staff were efficient and friendly. Breakfast staff were rather disinterested in us on both occasions we went for breakfast. They only mentioned to us as we were finished eating and were leaving, that eggs were an option as we finished eating (from the limited breakfast options they had waved us towards). I wondered if the low care factor and few choices may have been due to it being low season and not many guests in the hotel. Inspite of my negative comments, we only paid approximately AUS$28.50/night - so still very good value for a cheap hotel in a great location.

Traditional stay in Bali

Traditional style, clean, homey.
7.3
I was surprised to see "besek" traditional style inside the room, so unique and cool. I like the smell of Jasmine every time we enter the room. A lot of tree in the garden. The staff were so friendly. Its just the bed that a bit noisy, since it made of wooden bamboo but it is alright for my kids. The pool is cozy and we like it overall.

Mixed experience

Location, staff, quiet

After a few days without advance notification I was told I was being moved hotels. Repair work was being performed. The sister hotel in seminyak is beautiful so no complaints about my replacement hotel . It was a long way from where I chose to stay though and the lack of info caused upsets. Probably won't stay there again due to the lack of consideration for guests by management.

way below expectations

booked a cottage room, way less than impressed, smelled really bad and bathroom closet doors didn't function properly (i should mention that this is my 7th trip to bali, so not a first timer with unrealistic expectations) staff happy to show us another room, it was just as bad as the first! finally offered them more money and was shown a third room, bathroom far more usable so we accepted and paid the extra for our stay. bed linen was very poor, cleanliness way below previous experiences, and house keeping didn't care if you were sleeping, they would knock, the knock again if you didn't respond - no do not disturb sign to let them know that you were sleeping, resorted to taping a note to the front of the door. there are far better places at the same price, this one is rundown, staff more interested in socialising with each other then the guests, sign states pool closes at 7pm, but they are happy to hang out and chat with noisy guests at 2am?!? would not recommend this place for anything other than location.
