Good price, good location, quite bad for staff att
I'm check in at 2 pm with a sweat condition because Bangkok it's to hot. In the afternoon. The ladies staff laughing with her friend and talking in thai language. I think it's not polite. Wifi not free, you must pay 20 baht to get the password untill you check out. And the ladies again laughing on me because I failed for sign in the wifi cause I'm wrong when insert the password. I can't clearly understand what they say because they not spell ing well in english. Actually this hotel quite good n value for money but need improvement for they staff. They need mor training to be a good hospitality industry staff.

Service is getting Worse
I've been to Bangkok city inn for three times. First & second times are ok. But for this time, their service is bad. When we checked-in, there is no towels in our room, but there are mosquitoes. Bed is as hard as stone, pillow is as soft as cotton bud. As of speaking for TV channels, NHK world news is the only English speaking TV channel and others are Thai channel and nothing to watch. Breakfast menu is acceptable - fried rice/noodle, sausage, egg, soup, porridge, bread and fruits. However, it is worth for money as long as you can accept moderate service.

When we checked in, we were given a room at level 7 and it smelled like someone have just smoked inside the room. The room looks old, the smell were awful and there are small roaches inside the toilet. My mum and I then proceeded to the reception to get our room changed and this time, they gave us a room at level 8. The room was old as usual, did not smell but there were small roaches seen running around the dressing table at night. There was even one that's dead and sticking on the wall in the toilet! There were a few tiny hair and smell of perfume on the pillows and it feels like they did not changed the sheets when the previous guests have checked out. The staff were not very helpful as well. They took their time to check in and when I asked them if they could find my reservation, the reception guy answeres me in an irritated tone saying "I'm looking for it". Also, they did not informed us about the breakfast timing and we have to find out ourselves. We thought that wifi is provided but it is not. The guests have to pay 20baht for wifi until their checkout day. As my mum really needed the wifi, she asked for the login details first and wanted to pay later as we only came down for breakfast without any money with us on the morning on the second day. We went up to our room, tried the password, couldn't log in and called the reception from our room for help only to get demanded at to "come down and pay for wifi" when we couldn't even connect to it. Apart from these unpleasant encounters, the staffs from the concierge are much more friendlier. They will always greet the hotel guests and even made small talks with them at the lobby. The breakfast of the hotel is good and worth the money too! Location is great as well!
