Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

cheap , good location but room basic

location, cheap place to stay when on a budget
only one member of staff could speak english and she was friendly however there was another female staff who was not friendly and when we asked her did she work at reception or who could we talk to she said no and started laughing to her friend beside her and continued to use the computer. was very annoying. the location of the hotel is good and cheap. we got a room for a night. the room itself is basic, a little damp and water only luke warm.

Don't speak Vietnamese, don't stay here

Affordable, location, clean rooms
The hotel room itself was pleasant and clean with all the amenities you require at an inexpensive price and a five minute walk to the central market. However, the level of service offered by the hotel staff was absolutely horrendous. I do not require much assistance by hotel staff beyond collecting my hotel room key and collecting my passport. However, this simple task was a nightmare. The main female receptionist during business hours is quite nice and understands basic english. The young male in his early twenties who mans the reception desk outside these hours needs to learn a lesson in basic customer service. Most of the time he is playing games and smoking with his back towards the reception foyer. We had to check out early the next morning, so I asked him if we could collect our passports that evening. He stared back at me blankly. I repeated, "Check out 6am. Can we have passport?" He continued to look at me blankly. He then proceeded to call someone on the telephone (assumingly the manager) and handed me the phone. The person on the other line also did not understand my simple request and I gave up and returned the phone back to him. I started repeating "passport" but again the same blank face. It reached a point where I went online to use Google Translate. I guess the quality of the vietnamese to english translation wasn't quite good as his response translated into "children o t o tomorrow" (or something to that description). He went back to his video games and smoking and I gave up after the 20 minute ordeal, hoping the next morning he would instinctively know to return our passports. The next morning, we returned the hotel key to him and I asked for our passports. Again, same blank stare. After 30 minutes of phone calls, we got them back and left, just when another hotel guest asked for their room key and received another blank stare.

New hotel but small room

New hotel, polite staff
The hotel is newly built/renovated. Location is just okay, not very near Da Lat market (if you like to go to the market), but center located. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean. However, my room was very small. It was the cheapest type in the hotel. During my stay at this hotel, I found out that the price I booked through Agoda wasn't the best price!!! You can call the hotel directly to book at a cheaper rate, and don't have to pay booking service fee. I'm still very disappointed at this. I thought Agoda is the best site that gives the best rates. I have emailed Agoda about this, but haven't got any reply yet. By the way, if you have time, you can walk around for better choices. I met a few travellers during my daily tours and they told me their rooms were cheaper, yet very spacious and lovely.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: I also booked a daily tour at the reception of the hotel. Then I found out that booking with agency office (nearby) was cheaper. You may have to check around if you're on a shoe-string budget and want to save as much as possible. However, laundry service in the hotel is reasonably priced.
