keeping it simple in paradise

views, sea life, family atmosphere
Simple pleasures -like posh camping where bed, meals and water for washing provided No frills. Run-down resort complements stunning natural resources and views of exceptional sunsets. Feels like staying in a family's holiday home

The area is awesome - the "resort" not so.

location, beach
The "resort" is not one. The staff is not professional. The toilet water run out. No running water for shower, toilet flush and basic stuff like brushing your teeth. The toilet stank. Had to cut the days short and moved some place else.

Great island hideaway in Guimaras

Peace and quiet. Accommodating staff
Baras Beach Resort is hidden in a sheltered inlet, it’s the perfect place to take a relaxing break from the fast paced city life. Dinghy Rowing and Canoe Paddling are available free of charge in Baras Beach Resort. You can take one of the boats around the bay and snorkel around the coral gardens near the coast. But you need to hire a pumpboat to get to Baras Beach Resort first.

Budget Paradise

Stunning location for peaceful relaxation
stunning views, peaceful, good food. walk out the door and snorkel, more species of butterfly fish than i can remember seeing in one small location... if you love to be pampered and need spotless new woodwork... this is not your place. but if you can rough it a bit and want paradise without glittery tourists; a place to relax, this is it. i went for three days and stayed for 10. it's old and worn and funky but i sat on the veranda of my hut with the ocean 180 degrees all around and mix/mastered and entire album in peace. the staff was pleasant and accommodating. food simple but healthy and tasty.
Travel tip: Bring a giant container of drinking water! And some books!

Very nice view, but no electricity.

Great view of the sea and the islets.
There was no electricity! Power is only available from 6-10PM. Available water is rain water and its red, so best to bring drinking water for brushing your teeth. Bring Off lotion as well. The resort boasts a very view of the sea and the islets. People in the resort through were very accommodating and friendly. Not much food choices - there were only 4 of us in the resort at that time. Limited food choices and not value for money, a breakfast costs Php175-200/per plate. Rice, egg, hotdogs. It would have been a perfect place for honeymoon sans the other factors I mentioned.
