Good location, Clean and big rooms but unfriendly

Good location, clean and big rooms
Rooms are big and clean and the location is good. The staff is not very helpful due to lack of english skills. Very often there is just nobody there. When you need an clean place to stay we can totally recommend this place.

Good choice in Vientiane

clean, not far from city center, seperate shower
The room and bathroom are spacious, there is a seperate shower (which is not common in Laos). It's basic, but there is a balcony and flatscreen TV. Everything is clean, so we felt comfortable. It's not far to walk to the city center (10-15 min), many restaurants are closeby. There is no breakfast included and they don't help with organizing transport etc.! Therefore it's a bit overprized, but compared to other places it's really worth the money.

Family run guest house near good street eats

Big room, good value and near night market
A welcoming family run place with spacious rooms, little English spoken but very friendly. No breakfast but Swedish bakery across the street has good coffee etc, the night market on the adjacent street is excellent for Lao street food in the evenings, and the quiet neighbourhood has a few hidden gem cafes and bars. There's even a stadium where you can use the jogging track should you so wish, and the tourist quarter near the river is only about a ten minute walk. Good value.

Good location

Location, free water, price
Nice location, pretty much bare bones and not many amenities. if you're having a tuk tuk driver take you there, be sure to have an address and phone number handy. They get lost easily!

As expected

Staff was super friendly; Location; Room Size
Staying at the Bayern Guesthouse was wonderful. The location was great, as it wasn't directly in the busiest areas of the city but only a 8 minute walk from the night market and main streets. Staff was very friendly, with check out and check in being super quick. In the morning when I left, the staff called a Tuk-Tuk for me, which was wonderful. The room was large and all I needed. The AC was excellent, the bathroom and cleaning services were great, and the WiFi was better than expected. It is a walk-up, so just be aware if you're bringing a lot of luggage or anything. But if you don't mind the stairs, you won't have any problems here :) The only bummer was that there weren't any food options or bike rentals, but Comma Cafe (which is just down and around the corner) has great options (and really good coffee!) and the cute little ice cream shop on the corner of the block is fantastic. Additionally, if you go to any of the "main" streets, there are a ton of bike rentals for ~10,000 KIP for 24 hours. Really liked staying here!

Basic, clean accomodation

Clean, good location, clean
If you only need a clean room to sleep in not far from town, this is a good choice, but don't expect to get any help with directions, bus tickets, recommendations, etc. The room was very clean though.

Great location, great price

Price, Clean, Location
It's a basic, no-frills guesthouse. It's immaculately clean, the AC is great, and there was fridge in the room for keeping snacks and drinks. It's walking distance to the waterfront and downtown. It is on a bit of a busy street, so if you are a light sleeper, it might not be the best option, but the AC/fans drown out most of the sound and I slept no problem. If you are an independent traveler, this is a great option at a great price. I would stay again.

Good value, clean, friendly staff.

Value, location, Staff
I checked in late, They left a key at the desk for me. The first night I stayed street side room which was a bit too noisey as I am a light sleeper. So the second night they switched me to a room on the back side. Much better. The rooms are very spacious and Aircon works great. My only complaint is the internet is unreliable. But this seems to be the norm with these types of guesthouses in Lao.
