If after your stay here you begin to feel a bit like royalty, don't be surprised; the hotel was indeed once a royal palace. With their motto of "A passion for the perfect vacation" these guys really know how to make a traveler feel comfortable and at home. The architecture is, as mentioned, extremely high quality, as is the decor. The hotel's attention to detail shines in example like the coffee shop located on ground level, with a sleek and luxurious ambience and grand-scale glass windows it is the perfect place to kick back and watch the world go by.Beyond the usual stuff like Wi-Fi and assistance in English they go the extra mile here, they even have a CD burnings service. Not given the room I reserved.

Pleasant staff
Not good. Room reserved not available. Reserved executive triple with three single beds. Was told room not avaible and given small room with two beds. After much discussion a steel framed cot was brought to the room with no mattress. Room advertised as having safe, iron and ironing board but these were non existent. Miminar was a nig disappointment.

Promo photos on website are fake

Generally, even if me and my husband are traveling under tight budget, we were still able to find budget hotel with good atmosphere, friendly staff, and most importantly, clean environment in ideal location. Having been to Beijing multiple times, we knew the location of perfect inn hotel is ideal for our stay this time and went through the hotel picture, and thought everything looked standard, clean, and comfortable, so without second thought, we booked the hotel. 3 weeks later, when we arrive the hotel in Beijing, it took 30 mins for the staff to find our reservation; the 1st floor were under construction, and not to mention that the standard double room were just ******* (sorry, words can not describe it...), it is dirty, it smells horrible, there were miserable looking stuff in the bath tub, and the floor weren't even swept....I can go on and on. We quickly took look at the hotel picture and realized it was a completely different set of photo they posted on the website, the front desk staff claimed that they know nothing about it and are not responsible for it so we couldn't just get our money back right then. Based on experience, I would not suggest anyone to stay there, unless you just needed a place to sleep after partying hard in one of the Gulou bars....

Lousy hotel

had to change the room from double to triple. even thou it was possible to rebook it on agoda they only offered us extra bed in double room and the extra bed was sucks - a wooden board with only a blanket. I asked them to make it soft but the stupid reception girl refused and they also doubled the price which was acctually more expensive then agoda was offering for triple room. I still can't believe that we didn't left the hotel right away. Hotel is lousy furnished with old bathroom.
Nightlife Tip: almost oposite is a good "rock bar" you have to search for it a little - its a bit hidden.

Great location but small rooms

I like the bed and the location of the hotel
freindly service and great convenient location because among the hotel street there is a lot of restaurant, good food and the price is resonable, furthermore you can walk to yong he gong, because is very near to this hotel. and among the street you can buy some sourveniet because is a lot of shop among the street.
Restaurant Tip: There is a lot of Restaurant near to hotel is very convenient place for you to look for it.

Do not stay here - You have been warned

Location - in the Hutong area if that is where you want to be based. However there are better hostels and hotels in the area. Receptionist was nice and spoke good english.
I'm very disappointed with the hotel. I was mislead, description given is very inaccurate. The staff at agoda need to go check it out. Our room while a good size had dirty floor , did want to put my bag down on it. The furniture was make shift- 4 hooks on the wall was the only place to hang clothes. Mold was coming through the wall paper in the room. The bathroom was also not clean with mold coming through as well. When you wash everything in bathroom gets wet as there is no curtain rail seperating toilet/basin from shower . You need to keep your shoes on at all time due to how dirty it is. The breakfast was made in the reception area, when we came down for it. We watched as they put on the kettle to make coffee and the toaster to make the toasts. Also added were croissants from a packet . If all this does not bother you then this hotel is for you.
Travel tip: Check out the other hotels/ hostels in the area. There are a good number ,they can't be worse that where we stayed.

Beijing Perfect Hotel

There is a hotel located next door to Drum & Bell Towers what's important if you try to explain the address to the taxi drivers who dont speak english.Very good location in old part of the city among real hutongs. Walking distance from subway station (10-15min). My room was ok, clean. Very friendly staff you can communicate with in english.Internet (computer) available at the reception. Good value for money.

Far from perfect, but ok

Location is awesome. Close to Hutong and the lake and lots of nice shops, bars and restaurants.
The hotel can be a bit tricky to find. We had the name written with the address in Chinese and the taxi driver still didn't know. Just find the main street its on and look for 281, not far at all from the Drum Tower at the corner. The people at the hotel were nice enough, and seemed to make a real effort to speak English. Our room was quite small and the toilet stunk so much we had to keep the door closed all the time. Sometimes late at night/early in the morning loud Chinese guests kept us up. There is a menu for pizza/drinks in the hotel. The only time we tried to order it they said it wasn't available since the bar next door was not open (and rarely seemed to be).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Subway is not as close as I would have liked but taxis are cheap. The Hutong lake area is a 5 minute walk. In the other direction there is a really nice shopping/bar street (forget the name) just past the Mexican restaurant Amigo but on the other side of the road. Also opposite Amigo is the e.a.t cafe which was really good value for money and had great sandwiches and pasta. We booked the Great Wall tour from the hotel. They advertise it at 280. I asked for 2 people for 400 and she said yes VERY quickly. Think you can get it for between 150 and 180 easily. Overall I guess we were satisfied. We loved the location but it wasn't really good value for money compared with how much we paid for our hotel in Shanghai. The type of room we had was almost exactly like a lot of motels in Seoul, alhough it was about 30 to 40% more expensive. I would say we are 50/50 on returning to this hotel and if we did it would be more based on the location rather than the hotel itself. Saying that there are a couple of hostels in the area, but I don't know how much they are.

Beijing Perfect Inn

Convenient location not far from Airport Express Station at Dongzhimen. Very friendly hotel staff.
The hotel staff are helpful, courteous, and very pleasant to chat with. Guests will no doubt feel very welcomed at the hotel. The hotel location is great for exploring the many Hutong around the hotel and tourists attractions nearby, such as the Hou-hai bars and restaurants.

Perfect Inn Beijing

Centrally located. Staff are very friendly and courteous, and offer many good information and suggestions.
Hotel was fully booked for the first night of arrival and they make the arrangement for us to stay at another hotel nearby. The staff though has been very helpful and courteous and the location is easy to get around.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Great base to explore the aurrounding Hutong. Walking distance to Hou-hai area where food and night entertainmetn are aplenty.
