Cheap, Safe and Comfortable.

Long house interior decoration within the lodge is marvelous. Make you feel more in Malaysian Sarawak Borneo. Great location to find local food and closed to town sightseeing places.
More suitable for backpackers and travelers which looking for budget option. Location is great to find local cheap food and closed to town sightseeing areas. I like the long house interior decoration which make me feel more in Malaysian Sarawak Borneo. It will more great if the lodge playing local 'sape' song.

charming decor, friendly staff, open shared space

The chinese restaurant next door. The location on the waterfront. Helpful staff
The decor of feeling like you are in a long house was quite charming but on closer inspection the leaves on the walls were full of dust and dirt. The bathrooms and showers had black mold in them and were quite dirty. White toast and sugar jam for breakfast are not in my diet. Very friendly and helpful staff but I had a much nicer, cleaner, fresher stay for less money on the same street at the Backpacker hotel.

near to town air

Even though the toilet located outside from the room, it's still ok. The price is affordable for big family who want to travel Kuching area with minimise the stay cost. Also the hotel near to the town area.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Make a visit to cross the river, better by traditional ways. So that you can enjoy and felt how they fell. And also spend 1 day to travel to Sarawak Culture Village.

Wonderful location and great food

Economy and good location
It is worth with money. Place is clean with necessary facilities. Hotel staff is polite and kind. This place is near by or a short distant walk to souvenir shop, along the riverside. It is also convenient to find Chinese food since near by have a lot Chinese coffee shop and restaurant with delicious local food. Highly recommend.

great location with good service

friendly service and advise
This hotel near or just located in down town where all the necessary like food, sign see, shop and pleasure place are located. Price is very reasonable with all basic facilities. A minute walk to river site which with nice river view and water facilities, like river cruise, boat (cross to the river to historical government building).

excellent value for money

right in the heart of chinatown, with standard lodge facilities at a good price
We stayed in a family room with young children, with a shared bathroom. The facilities were clean, the bedroom comfortable. Go with the right expectations - it is a small room, the bathroom is a standard malaysian bathroom with a lot of water around on the floor and not many luxury features; but the shower is hot, the beds comfortable, the sheets clean and neat: we felt it was hard to beat for the price, and the convenience of the location was excellent. the staff are friendly and helpful, and longhouse style decor downstairs is rather attractive.
Restaurant Tip: Don't miss going to the Top Spot restaurant complex, for the cheapest and freshest seafood in Kuching. Only 10 minutes walk from Berambih Lodge. Resist the pushy staff who try to get you to sit down at their restaurant only, check out all that is on offer and you will find wonderful seafood, local ferns, oyster pancake and many other delights.
