Poor hotel sevice
The transport service within hotel is very poor. i had requested for a transport to bring my families and from our rooms to hotel reception for check out, but the total waiting time for me is 1HOUR, and my other family members, also with young kids ended up waited for 1.5HOUR. we were very dissapointed with the transport arrangement. What made me even fedup was when i reach the reception for checkout, the staff told us that our ferry service from Tanjung Gemok to Tioman was not included in our parkage, and we were demanded an additional payment of RM 580. i am very sure that the ferry service is included in my package, however because my booking was through Agoda and not to the hotel directly, and myAgoda booking summary did not show all the details of my package. so i have no choice but to pay this additional amount. i was thinking the staff should have tell me when i check in but not at the time of chckout, so that i have enough time to check with Agoda regarding the booking details, and furthermore, we were rushing to the jetty after a long wait for the transport at the hotel. This is a good hotel, with nice beach, clean room, food was above average, big swimming pool, but the hotel service is very dissapointing.

Great Outdoor Holiday
We have always wanted to go Tioman and finally did it, though it was a short 2 days 1 night stay. Booked the tioman ferry service online plying from Mersing jetty. Later realized that Berjaya actually just started their own ferry service a couple of days ago but from Tanjung Gemok jetty which is about 30 min drive away. We let go of the tioman ferry service tickets we paid S$70 for 2, as the return ferry is at 9am. Bought Berjaya ferry which has a return timing of 3pm. Did not regret the decision as we managed to go for the discovery dive that morning, which we couldn't do otherwise if we stick with 9am ferry. The discovery dive is conducting at Berjaya itself, but a bit far off about 20 min on foot. It was a great dive which costs RM150 per pax, i think. We had one dive at the beach to get used to breathing underwater, then took a short boat ride out about 5 min to a nearby island. Managed to see quite a bit of colorful fish, and a turtle too ! I rented optical dive mask separately for RM50 as I am short sighted. Works well for me. It was the first time we used a diving gear. The only thing we really felt uncomfortable was the dry throat - caused by breathing oxigen from a tank in and out from the mouth. The whole thing was about an hour but was good enough for us. Really glad that we made the trip. Berjaya resort is great. We have a small standalone cabin. The room has wooden floor and comfy bed. One big problem we had was the shower's heater was not working at all. Had one quick cold shower the whole time we were there. Too cold to had a good bath. Would defintely come here again :-)

Resort up to expectations
We had a good holiday. The chalet was clean and comfortable. It would be good if wifi was available in the chalets. Facilities were ok for resorts of this class. Food options were somewhat limited though.

Definitely one of the better places on the island
In general the experience was good. We booked a superior room, hoping they would look better than a standard room. Also we requested a sea view room in advance, but never got a reply on our request. In hindsight booking a standard room would have been just as good. They're a bit smaller than superior, but in general the facilities in the room are all similar level. From the ferry pier of Tekek, the transfer to the hotel was very smooth. The shuttle bus is waiting when the ferry arrives. The complex is quite large, so it first drives you to the check in desk. After check in the shuttle brings you to your room. Check was not a nice experience at all. First of all, guests arrive in batches, every time a ferry arrives. Despite that, there's only one or two staff available for check in, and the process takes long. Which means waiting and waiting. Upon check in it was clear that sea view rooms are only very limited available, but there was no clear answer why the hotel never replied our enquiry. Then there is a voucher for a "welcome drink", which is really ridiculous. It's basically water, long time made filter coffee, or some syrup, that is stalled out on a table in what used to be a bar. Not a very welcoming experience, even though the check in staff was friendly in the process. I would advise the hotel to offer a welcome drink from one of the bars (the bartenders are very skilled in cocktails), or skip the "welcome drink" all together. Arrival in the room, the room is very clean, and lived up to expectations. Mind you this is a bit of a remote island, so manage your expectations. But for sure clean and a nice lay out, spacious room. The pools are great, with towel service. There's a bar inside the pool, and one on the beach. The hotel is right on the beach and with high tide, you can swim or snorkel straight from the beach. Also rental of kayaks and water bikes is possible. These activities are all very costly in the resort (kayak is MYR 20 per hour

Beautiful nature, lovely hotel
We stayed at Berjaya Tioman Resort 5 days as part of our honeymoon. The front desk staff were not too friendly when we arrived, but the rest of our stay, we only met smiling and friendly staff, especially at the restaurant. We had booked one of the sea-view chalets, which was fine, but we had expected it to be full sea-view, which it wasnt. It was close to the pool and the restaurant, which was great. We were lucky to get a deal, where scuba diving and snorkeling, as well as dinner every evening, was included in the room price. This was the reason we thought we got value for our money. The beaches were quite disappointing, and not at all like in the pictures. The bathrooms was not satisfactory, even in the newly renovated room. We had ants, and the bathtub was worn out and the shower head broken. We went to the other side of the Island, to Juara beach, which was much much better, and a lot more secluded. All in all, we had a nice stay. NOTICE: There are a lot of sandflies on the beaches of Tioman, so do not forget bug spray!!

so so...
They have a shuttle bus services to Tekek Jetty. But the time table no nice. Our Ferry arrived at Jetty around 2pm and i need to call to hotel and we wait 1 hour for the shutter bus in the hot sun. That is horrible. Next day, we asking the reception courter for shuttle bus service is able to send us out to Tekak jeti area to visit Duty Free shop, but the staff reply is “Our Shuttle Service is only main for check in and check out not others”. But i keep watching people take their shutter go here go there. No comment. Room is ok but a bit old, the tv channel no much choose. Siri Nelayan is the main restaurant and we have our breakfast and dinner there. The food is ok.
