Lucky deal

room, the bed, the bathroom
i got lucky booking, they had it listed on agoda for a fraction of the price. I dont think the normal rate is worth it, as its a hike up to the tram line. Overall the hotel was great, i would stay again, but wouldnt pay the price

good for sleeping in a quiet properly clean room

good cleaning up ( x 3)
Building is smaller than it seems on photos. My room was astonishing small. Nobody, at my own experience, speaks a clear english. But, all summed, everything was good.

Stay was comfortable, clean, friendly

very friendly, clean, close to major most major attraction, metro station, grand bazzar
My stay was very comfortable, hotel was clean, staff was very friendly, hostess Nada was extremely helpful and friendly, and guidance was provided promptly whenever we got lost. Near to all the major attractions, metro station was a plus point; you can take metro to all the major areas of Istanbul, which really minimized the transportation cost. My sincere advice to the tourists is to discover the metro the very first day, its on walking distance from the hotel. The metro stops at all the major tourists areas, you can basically buy the tickets at the station. Taxies are also easily available as soon as you step out of the hotel. Don’t miss Zia Baba’s kebab which is located on the same street as the hotel is, locals on street can direct you as well, extremely yummy and affordable restaurant you get the best for your money and get the taste of real kebabs. Breakfast was monotonous, needs variety , however several other restaurants in the area serve nice breakfast too.

Me and my wife stayed in Beat Western Amber Hotel

Friendly Staff, excellent location, clean and comfortable room
Me and my wife stayed in Beat Western Amber Hotel in Istanbul for Oct.13-17. We had an extraordinary experience in the hotel and the serviced provided by the Hotel staff. Not only were they very friendly, they looked after us in every possible way. The roof top breakfast was excellent and just the right thing we needed. Rooms and toilets were clean and comfortable. As this was our first trip to Istanbul, we got many friendly tips from the hotel staff. Without their assistance and help, we do not think our stay in Istanbul would have been so memorable. We have decided to stay in Amber Hotel whenever we visit Istanbul in future. It is difficult to forget the hospitality received from the management and the staff of the hotel. We will recommend all our friends to stay in Best Western Amber Hotel in future. As for ourselves, we have thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days in Amber Hotel and look forward to be there again in future.

not worth the money

proximity to market
was just okay, with an unfriendly staff person at reception it was not a very good experience. The reception guy was only good at selling and didnt bother after the sale was made. Kind of rude person.

Comfortable hotel & friendly staff

Located in the old city near historic sites, Clean accommodations, friendly staff.
We enjoyed our short stay near all historic sites in the old city. We met the Owner who was friendly & accommodating. The temporary remodeling & lobby repairs did not impact or hinder our stay. We highly recommend this hotel to future visitors to the Old City.

Manager (girl) was nice and she tried hard to meet our requirements. But other staff members wer not helpful at all. Our last day, manager agreed to give us an early breakfast but others were not interested and we had to leave hotel without breakfast.
