I was also very disturbed when I got a message under my door when I got back to my room. The message cited that my bath towel has some stains and the assistant manager wants to talk to me. What is this a military hostel? I traveled round the world and I never encounter this. Any way if the complain of stains. There are stains all over my bedroom carpet and there is also a burnt mark on the formica dressing table top too. Is the manager charging me for such stains left by others too? I called the manager and he told me that the stains in the towel was removed successfully so I won't be charged. I was appalled. This will be my last time I will stay in this hotel.

This is the fourth time I have stayed here. I am baffled as to why, this time, there was no coffee or black tea sachets or sugar left in the room (despite there being a jug, and cups). In the past there has always been black tea bags /coffee/sugar in the rooms, as per most hotels. This was not an oversight as I asked. When I called House Keeping she brought Olong green tea only. Every other time, there have been a couple of sachets of black tea bags. The most bizarre thing though, was the LOCKED FRIDGE. This has not been the case on previous visits. There had been a small key hole inserted and the fridge remained locked, no key provided. I rang House Keeping (as I had already purchased milk andneeded to keep it cold) and after half an hour the Keeper of the Keys arrived to unlock the fridge! With her huge keychain, she was unable to find the correct key and had to disappear twice, return to find she still didn't have the right key.Very odd. My daughter ordered a Mocha (advertised outside the Hotel restaurant on a very large billboard as "Magnificent Mocha", complete with photo) My daughter received a Black Expresso. When she queried this, she was told: No chocolate!. No Milk! don't call it Mocha. Finally, the bar-food...I ordered a toasted cheese sandwhich. In all my years of travelling, and I am 62 years old, and a frequent traveller, this was THE WORST sandwhich I have ever tried to eat in my entire life. Absolutely disgusting. The accompanying chips were stone cold, and the meal too over half an hour to reach us (despite us being at this time, the only people in the area). When we asked for hot chips, the first ones were taken away, and returned 15 minutes later, obviously heated in a microwave, soft and soggy. For one two inedible toasted cheese sandwiches and a handful of soggy re-heated, inedible fried, we were charged $30 Australian! It certainly was an experience. However, the rooms are clean, very cosy and warm and we fe
