Weekend City Break

The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. They couldn't have done more to welcome us and ensure we enjoyed our stay
The hotel was exactly what we were after - a place to dump our stuff and rest out heads. We found the hotel staff very nice. The offered suggestions of things to do and assisted with guiding us to where we were going. The hotel is basic but I found this was reflected in the price. It is simple but it is comfortable and clean.

location, value for money and cleanliness
Saved a lot of time staying in this hotel as we only had one night in Amsterdam. Van gogh and convenience of using tram to the red light district and central is just a stone away. Walking distance to the high end street.

No room for children

Location, rooms, no extra beds
It's a nice hotel, with nice Amsterdam atmosphere. Just a 5 minute walk away from the Leidseplein and the Vondelpark. But: We encountered a problem we never had anywhere in the world: there's no such thing as an extra bed in a double room in Amsterdam. We booked a double for us and our 9 year old child but that was 'impossible'. Regulations in Amsterdam forbid that. So we had to book a second room and split up to meet those regulations. After our 16 hours journey this was quite annoying. The more so because the staff kept us waiting for over 4 hours before we could enter a room to take a shower.

Friendly hotel, superb location

Location, stuff, rooms
We spent four days in hotel, close to everything in Amsterdam. With rented bikes you ar 5 minutes from all places of interest. Nice rooms with view, good breakfast, friendly stuff, internet, and what else you need?

Only good for few nights stay

location, comfortability, easy access
it was generally ok. Arrived in Amsterdam when it was heavily raining, windy and cold. Since this is a budget hotel, i really expected a 2 or 3 star service since this is in Europe, it's of 2 star quality for me.. Nothing new, nothing fancy but the reason i booked it because i was given a special price from Agoda.. (was lucky enough to get it heavily discounted) and i guessed that it was centrally located. One can stay here only for a few nights which is favorable for me compared to a hostel where toilets are shared. I'll prefer to stay for a hotel with a private bathroom even on a budget.
