Long popular with visitors to Paris, this property offers well-appointed rooms and suites matched by warm, genuine hospitality in a convenient location. The immediate neighbourhood of Place d'Italie offers a myriad of bars and restaurants, small boutiques, and grand shopping centers, and the nearby metro station makes exploring the rest of the city easy. The most difficult decision to be made when visiting Paris is where to begin. The Musee du Louvre is as good a place as any and is probably at the top of everyone's list of things to not miss in Paris. A full day is needed to truly appreciate this world famous museum, and a short metro ride from the hotel is all that's needed to get there.

Small rooms, A/C, good price at Place d'Italie

Location, A/C, clean
The front desk staff was friendly and helpful and could deal with my broken French (or English). The nighttime staff, while also very helpful, spoke much less English. I had two two-twin bedrooms for my family. The rooms barely fit those two beds. The bathroom - also small - barely fit the toilet in one room - so much so that you had to sit side-saddle to use it! Having air conditioning was a great asset after talking to other Americans staying in other places without A/C. The temperatures were mostly in the 80's during our stay. We had our windows closed most of the time except to air it out on a cooler day. Another benefit of keeping the windows closed was that there was almost always a siren of some sort near Place d'Italie or right below our window whizzing by. Speaking of sound - the walls are thin, too. We couldn't help but listen to a couple's moans of pleasure from a nighttime activity of some sort. Even though there was no smoking in the hotel (or most of it), people did violate the rules. It never entered my room but it may account for the unpleasant smell in the room after it's been cleaned. Due to the 6-hour time difference for us and recuperating from long days of walking, we stayed late in the room sometimes. I put the "Do Not Disturb" sign outside everyday but still the cleaning staff would knock on the door and ask if they could clean the room. Were they illiterate in French? The room had a mini-fridge stocked with a variety of small bottles of water and soft drinks, a chocolate bar and cashews. I recommend stocking it with a 6-pack of your favorite beverage from the nearby Carrefour Market in the basement floor of the Commercial Center a block away. It is a complete supermarket. The breakfast room had the bare minimum for breakfast. It's not worth the price - unless you don't want to leave the building just yet but need food. I recommend going out to the basement floor of the Commercial Center mall (just a block away) - or the McDonald's acro

Convenient Location, reasonably priced

Convenient Location, Surrounded by plenty of restaurants, Room is good and clean enough
The hotel was small, so was the room, but that's pretty normal for a Paris hotel. It was clean enough and hassle-free with everything still in good condition. So, it was an ok stay for a couple of nights as I was out of the room for most of the days anyway. The location couldn't be any better with big Metro station (Place d'Italie), McDonalds, KFC, Tang Freres Gourmet and Supermarket just right in front across the street. Turn right a few steps along Avenue de Choisy and you are in Chinatown (13th), which plenty of SE Asian and Chinese foods to fill you up. Another street behind the hotel is also worth a walk with a few design shops. cafes and Carrefour around. The service was up to standard, nothing flashy nor anything bad to worry about. Suitable for business or solo travelers who just need a comfortable place to sleep after getting works done or a day-long trip, nothing more nothing less.

Not a bargain in any way.

The hotel is generally noisy on a very loud street. The rooms are small (but this is Paris right?) but not particularly clean and beds lack comfort. The location if you are a here to see the sights is not great. The Metro is close but still you are a long way away from most of the destinations and the part of town you are located in is not what you are looking for if you want the quaint Paris streets. There is a shopping mall close as well as two rental car agencies. Lastly, do NOT book a shuttle to the airport with them. The shuttle did not show up and the nasty staff told me, after waiting an hour, to "go find a cab". I nearly missed my flight. Bottom line- find another hotel.
