Terribbly run down....
Having more than 1000 hotels night globally, I am very surprised to find a best western hotel at this standards. This is easily the most run down international chain hotel I stayed anywhere in the world. Fouls smell in the room. Worn and stained furniture, obvious water damage. Wallpaper peeling and many obvious repair. Only one alternative room available at basically same terrible standard. Will not return and will definitely think twice before using Best Western again. Much better alternatives in the same area is City Garden Grand Hotel at roughly the same price point.

Relaxing and Friendly staff
We stayed one night in a one bedroom suite. I was on a vacation for a month in the Philippines that time and I needed a place to gather and catch up with my college friends. We found this place and It is really comfortable with a nice and simple view from our bedroom. We had a great time also staying in the pool. There was a situation back then that there's an extra payment for the guest in the room, we paid less because one of the staff informed us a smaller amount. We are willing to pay for the missing amount, but one staff said: "It was our mistake, so no need to add for the payment." He was really nice.

Initially expected our stay to be good because of our great experience with other Best Western hotels. However, has encountered lots of issues. 1. Accidentally hit the parking barrier because it was too low and not visible from the driver's view. Guard on duty gave us this taunting look and when we asked why he didn't signal that we were about to hit something, he said he was busy. 2. Called the restaurant several times before 9pm (they close at 10) and no one was answering. Had to call up the front desk and ask them tonconnect before someone answered 3. Mini fridge took a while to cool and there was no freezer. Tried to request some ice (because we had an infant and need store breast milk) but was told that we need to pay 75 pesos for a bucket of ice 4. Shower knob was broken and water took a while to flow out. They sent someone to repair but we decided not to wait and use the shower as we were in a hurry to check out.

Changed to the older tower
I have stayed at the Antel several times but have always been in the Serenity Suites side. This time I was booked in the Avenue side in the older tower. Most everything was the same except there was no hot water. I had a cold shower the whole time I was there.

Disappointed with the check in staff which is very rude
Gave me 2 single bed. Requested for a change to single bed. Rejected me straight away. Reason is I was upset with him earlier, where the scanning mc having problem and I have waited very long just to scan my passport.
