Good stay!
This is the second time we stayed here so we know that the rooms are comfortable and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Affordable room for the area. Will come and stay here next time we come back to HK.

Comfortable stay
The hotel is clean, good Wi-Fi in the rooms and lobby. The location is very convenient due to the new subway station Hong-Kong Univ quite near the hotel. Convenience stores, .Starbucks, Pizza Hut in a 5 min walking distance. However everything quite expensive.

Good hotel but staffs are awful
Location of the hotel is good as it is relatively near the MTR and it is just a 20 minutes train ride to the touristy attractions like Mongkok. The airport express bus stops are just walking distance from the hotel. The room was rather old and there was a foul smell the moment we stepped into the room. Wifi was really bad and the staffs in this hotel were seriously not the most helpful and friendly people around. They will dismiss your request as something trivial especially the male reception supervisor who was wearing a black specs. He behaved in a manner as if he was paying us to stay in the hotel. Hotel service definitely ought to be improved. Beside this, strange things did happen during our stay as our rooms' aircon and lights were switched on when we returned to our rooms on 2 of the nights. On the first occasion, a hotel room card was inserted into the card slot control but it did not belong to best western hotel but rather of the Grand City hotel. We kept the card and the same thing happened the next night and this time round, a "Fly Emirates" card was inserted into our card slot control. We just thought perhaps the janitors forgot their cards but when we returned those "outsiders" cards together with our Best Western room cards during check-out, the reception told us that those 2 cards did not belong to them and asked if we want to keep them. It seemed that there was either a lapse in security in the hotel or some spooky things were happening. On a side note, there is no need to scan or insert your room card when you board the lift to your level which might just contribute to the lapse in security. Furthermore, there was one guy trying to make sure whoever entered the lift belonged to the hotel's client on our last night. Not too sure what was going on but it did contribute to the overall spooky feeling during our stay.

It's All About The Staff
Hotel is excellent, location is great but I did not see any single smile or a greeting from the front desk staff. They are like robots doing they're daily job.
