Pretty good hotel, terrible new management
Location, quiet, empty
I have stayed at this resort 3 times in the past and always with my bicycle as I frequent Bintan to ride and race. After arriving at a pretty empty hotel at noon, we were told there were no rooms available until 3pm. Finally convinced them to give us our rooms at 2pm. As we were entering the elevator, the hotel manager aggressively cornered us with a security guard behind him and told us we aren't allowed to have our bikes in the room. I was not about to let him take my $10k bike with the substandard security they have there. He tried taking our bikes but after a 5 min, embarrassing altercation, he finally relented. I told him we would not stay here again with this policy and the way he treated us and he was indifferent to it. For a "4 Star" resort, they don't have wifi, the staff is very poorly trained and it's just not worth what you pay. I won't be back.

Check-in is at 3pm! They charge wifi!
Comfortable room. Buggy ride relaxing. Breakfast buffet is ok.
Stressful at first as we arrived at the hotel before 12 noon and was told that check-in is at 3pm! Hotel staff, with name tag Elfansha, insists that it was worldwide standard. A lot of newly arrived customers complaining. They advertise that wifi is free but is actually chargeable. You need to go to some restaurant to get free wifi. Dinner buffet at main hotel lobby is around SGD 85 but quality is like Singapore hawker food. It will cost me around SGD 6 dollars only for the same satisfaction. Beach water has oil (probably from jet skis and ferries docking at their ferry terminal). Icky feeling afterwards. I won't advise swimming as one may swallow the oil-contaminated beachwater.

Had a great time but very Expensive Hotel!!
Swimming Pool, Billiards and the Leisure Centre
Great Time, However it is very expensive. Once you are inside the hotel they make sure they charge you excessive charges and you have to pay for everything. The Hotel is very expensive, it is even more expensive as compared to some of the hotels in Singapore. The water sports are priced abnoxiously. The Food is very expensive. They charged for Kids for the buffet food which was initially promised as Free.

Nice staff and nice room but food overpriced
Staff, swimmingpool, price per night
The good things were the staff which were friendly, the room was big and nice. Also the fact that they pick you up by the ferry is very good. The breakfast was great too. On the minus side, everything you buy in there is very overpriced. I paid 213000 Indonesian rupiah for a chicken soup in room service. After eating the soup I got really bad pain in my stomach. The price was more expensive than Singapore prices plus I got ill so you just feel ripped off. The drinks, the shops, everything was overpriced. It just makes you don't want to spend. The gym was ok but the machines were really old and treadmill was not working. The beach was nice but i could see plenty of things floating up on the beach. The swimmingpool was nice but the sunbeads looked dirty and need to be changed or cleaned. The bar by the pool was playing loud rap and r and b. This is not the music you want to listen to when you're trying to relax. I had to tell them to turn off the music.
