Very helpful staff and nice ambience
I prefer this location to the very commercialised Backpacher Zone. There's a really good and cheap Co'm Chay (vegetarian restaurant) just two blocks away. Also very close to Ben Than market and bus station.

good, clean, staff helpful
The room was clean, the aircon worked, good wifi and quiet. The breakfast was good: 3 choices (omelet, eggs, noodle) + bread with butter and jam. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close of everything.

100% value for money!
100% value for money! Stayed in a small quiet room without windows, got a discount for advance booking. A clean ac double with necessary facilities & amenities, good sanitary, fast wifi & within walking distance to major sights, 152bus station to airport, all for $10 including satisfactory breakfast. Cheap. Helpful staff ready to supply one with machete for a treatment of pineapple & cups for a tea alike.

Just good but not helpful staff
My uncle may have left all his money on the counter as we were rushing to grab the taxi ti airport. After calling a staff to get it checked, she bombarded me lots of assumptions without having it check with the concerned staff on duty that time we left. Very unfriendly and unhelpful staff!

This place is terrible. STAY AWAY.
This place does not have half of what it advertised and looks nothing like the pictures. We decided to give this place a try because many reviews said it was a decent place for a good deal. I have no clue what they are talking about. It was certainly cheap, but definitely not a bargain. You could easily snag a nicer place in a better part of town for only a few dollars more and it would be worth it. Things to note: The rooms are really drab and not clean at all. Lights, flowers, art like in the pictures? Forget it, there's none of that. We had dirty, stained old linens with hair on them and marked up walls. The shower is 100% cold. The staff does not speak English, so they cannot help you with any issues. The wifi DOES NOT WORK. I am used to shoddy wifi, I expect that in Vietnam, but even though they advertise wifi in the rooms, the signal doesn't even reach the rooms here. It's not a just an unreliable signal (as they will try to claim), it simply doesn't even reach the rooms. Also, the information sheet/map they hand you at check in says breakfast goes until 10, but they actually stop serving a 9. Since they don't speak English, we only had the information sheet to go off of and missed it. They refused to honor the time they gave us and cook us breakfast when we came down at 9:30. They also tried to charge us for water from the mini bar when there was never any in there to start with (believe us, we checked because we parched upon arrival and ended up having to walk 15 minutes just to find a bottle somewhere else). We've stayed at plenty of crappy places to save a few bucks. The problem with this place is that they pretend they're better than that, but they're not. If given all of these things, you still think it's worth the price, go for it. But do not book this place expecting a good bang for your buck.

Cheap and decent
Value wise this place is great. Room was clean and big, bathroom was great (actual separate shower area), but there was not daily cleaning, maybe if we had asked for it. Wifi was spotty. Located within District 1, but a little walk (20-30 min) from the main backpackers and shopping areas. The main guy who runs the place is good, but the rest of the staff speaks minimal English, if any. They always tried to help regardless! Good restaurants within walking distance. Overall very satisfied!

Just another budget hotel
Cheap tour packages
Nothing much expected because of low price and nothing much offered too. So, kind of meet the expectations. Good if someone is on a very tight budget, but spare another 2-4 dollars more and you will get much better hotels more nearer to the main areas where the street doesn't get scarily silent at night.

A very local experience
The location is inbetween the central market bus station and the river, much more real than the commercialised "backpackers" district. Breakfast is very good and served in the restaurant which has a grand piano. The daughter of the family practices on it every afternoon. All rooms have a window which vents onto a central chamber, no view from the standard room but fresh air at least. You can pay a little more for a view room.
