Our short stay in Brussels

Great water pressure, everything was really clean and the staff were very helpful.
It was a good stay I would say. The beds (both sofa bed and real bed) were comfortable. The bathroom had great water pressure to help ease fatigue and restaurants aren't too far on foot. All around, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.

do not stay here
bad service, rude and incompetent staff, dirty and tacky cheap rooms... booked for 2 nights and checked out after 3 hours because i couldn't stand the aweful vibes

cosy apartment

good location, secured parking, high ceiling
We booked this apartment due to its location & that it has secured parking. Was not sure what to expect due to several bad reviews that I have read. 1st impression when we walked into the apartment is that it is bright and airy. The high ceiling makes the place look much bigger. The apartment is simply and nicely done up. Kitchen area is very small and basic - a fridge, kettle, small cooker, utensils for 4 person & 2 pots. As we stayed only for 2 nights & was not planning on cooking, the basic kitchen was fine for us. The kettle is full of limescale, but I found out it us due to the hard water tap water. We decided to buy drinking water for making coffee & use the small pot to boil the water instead of the kettle. The staircase to the mezzanine bedroom is very steep, but my agile teenage daughter was very happy to use the mezzanine floor and she absolutely love it. The apartment does not have an aircon or any fan, so I believe it can get very warm during the hot summer days. Plus it's not possible to sleep with the window opened due to the noise filtering in from the street, which you can still hear even with the window closed though not as loud. Luckily when we were there, it was not too warm in the evening. All in all, I would say it was value for money due to its location. The main attractions are within walking distance, also many restaurants in the vicinity and mini supermarkets including Carrefour express.
